Comfortable, Easy, Hubby Approved
I will update on a year on how this works as a contraceptive but for now I can say, it's comfortable. The first time I tried it in I could still feel it until I had my midwife check the fit and I guess I didn't really have it quite far enough up there. Now that I know exactly where it's supposed to end up, it's smooth sailing. You *can't* feel it walking around or anything like that (good thing too since you're supposed to leave it in 6 hours after), but it does seem to cause little less sensation during intercourse, or maybe it's just a little distracting for me. Hubby loves it!

It works if you work it! 3 years-no pregnancies.
I got mine after I was fitted by a gynecologist. It is our buddy! I've used it successfully for three years now. I am very allergic to contraceptive gel, so I have used my diaphragm (Caya brand) with a sticky gel lubricant (very thick) to form a physical barrier to help prevent sperm from entering the cervix. I use the non-spermicidal gel the same way you would a spermicide, per the instructions that come with the unit. I chose to do this, because I was 39 when I got the Caya, and my partner and I use it properly every time. I prefer to insert it while lying down and remove it in the shower. I wish I'd used a diaphragm all my life, instead I started with hormones then had an extremely painful IUD (don't do it!!). I tell all my lady friends to get fitted and get a diaphragm!!

Caya DOES NOT FIT ALL
DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT! My GYN prescribed a 70mm diaphram and the pharmacist replaced it with the CAYA...the product is too large and EXTREMELY uncomfortable. Caya is NOT covered by insurance and costs $105...Caya will not refund the cost, so they are able to distribute these devices without the customer having any means of receiving a refund for poor sizing or faulty product. The medical devices in the United States are NOT properly regulated, especially for women, and the FDA protects the pharmaceutical companies and not the customer. I wrote Caya requesting a refund and this is what they wrote to me "I do apologize for the issue that you are having. The Caya is marketed as a "one size fits most". This statement is on all of the materials that are given to physicians and caya.us website. I am so sorry that your pharmacist told you that but due to the Caya being a FDA regulated product, we are unable to take the diaphragm back and/or issue any refunds."

Free with insurance, easy and empowering!
This is pretty wonderful as a method on red (fertile) days using Natural Cycles and Fertility Awareness Method. When I called my doctor for a prescription (love that i didn't have to go in for a fitting), she basically scoffed at the idea and told me no pharmacy would carry it, and if they do it will be expensive. 30 minutes later I had my script filled at CVS and it was FREE with my insurance! It does not come with the gel, and since we're in quarantine I haven't been able to get out to find some so we're being extra careful. We're still getting used to it. My fiance definitely says he can feel it, and there are some giggles, but that doesn't stop us! I'm very grateful to have this option as I transition off hormonal contraception and get in touch with my body.

Love my caya
Easy to use (I am a newbie) and comfortable (didn't know it was there). Instructional DVD comes with it, but I looked at a YouTube video online that was helpful. I use my caya with contragel (available on Amazon, too!)

Multiple uses!
I dislike the thick pronounced ledge but I understand that ithers may find it helpful. I wanted to post to let people know that this works well as a menstrual CUP as well..especially if you are like me and your cervix is very low. I can not use ANY of the diva cups, Luna cups etc because of their design!! I woukd purchase it just to use as a menstrual cup, even if I didn't need it for birth control. You can have sex while on your menstrual cycle if you change it right before! No mess!

Way better than condoms
We decided to try this since we both hate condoms and I don't want anything hormonal. Fits great and can't feel it at all. Definitely need some water based lube after it's inserted though... or at least wait to put it in until after you're already wet... seems that no lady juices are able to come down after it's already up there. The directions were really helpful to show how to use it and this has been our favorite birth control. He can feel it but not in a distracting or irritating way. It's very soft and flexible. I think we'll be using this as our main method.

Useless one size does not fit all. There's different sizes for good reason. Don't buy this garbage
We are years ahead on these in the U.K I've used them years and I educated as a nurse on different contraceptives too. To say one size fits all is nonsense! You have different sizes for good reason.Avoid this product I'm size 80 and these do not fit they are too small. No two women are the same. They fall out and they're too flimsy. Don't rely on this garbage.Shame on you caya! please get better educated as you're clueless if you think one size fits all.
