Make sure it fits!
My application was a 2007 Silverado 1500 Classic. Amazon said the part was an exact fit for my truck but it really was not. The upper shock bolt was not as long as the original so it did not fit without modification. Overall I am happy with the products quality and function. The rubber mounts are similar but not exactly the same. The original metal and rubber bushings had to be used as the ones that came with these shocks are pretty cheaply made and it includes no metal bushing. In the future I will buy products like this in person because without being able to compare them to the original up close makes it hard to tell they are correct.

Wrong part for 02 Silverado Duramax trucks (VIN1)
You have to be very careful on which front shock absorbers to purchase for the VIN1 silverado trucks. This one has a "T" fitting on one end that I could not remove so I'm guessing it's permanent. My truck uses the version without the "T" part, in other words with the standard bolt hole and bushing setup. I had to return these for the correct one. Another wonderful day with GM and its low quality and lack of attention to details. Fortunately, my truck year was the last year GM made a resemblance of a quality truck. There's a good reason Ford leads sales.

Very good shock.
My last set lasted about 60k.miles. I like the ride, they are not to soft and doesn't buck you around. They fit my 2004 GMC Sierra 1500 2wd perfectly.

If you have worn springs and want a firm ride, replace them or get stiffer shocks.
Old shocks were completely dead so these made a huge difference. They were a little bigger than the factory shocks, so it was a little harder to get them into the spring but it was worth it. Much smoother ride now, even with worn out springs. -2001 GMC Sierra 1500, Regular Cab, 4.8L V8
