Very good knife
It was a pleasure to receive and hold this knife. First off, it arrived very well packed, complete with thin plastic cling wrap type wrapping which covered both the hilt and the blade fully, with the knife inserted into the sheath and the whole thing wrapped in bubble wrap. And then of course, this entire package placed neatly inside an outer hard cardboard box. So, the packaging gets a grade of A+.Then it is the knife itself which is made very well, with everything tight and firm. It is well balanced and just right in the hand. Nothing out of place with the blade or the hilt. The one thing that I noticed was that the blade was not quite razor sharp. But this was not to the point that I would take any star off because of it.Some reviewers had commented that the bolts holding the scales in place seemed to be too shiny or made of aluminum or some such complaint. While I didn't run any metallurgical tests, as far as I can tell, the bolts are just as shiny as the blade which is actually rather dull. And therefore, I would presume that they are made of the same steel as the blade. Then there is the micarta scales which are nicely finished without any sharp or unsightly edges. And one thing I really appreciate about this knife is that its hilt is long enough and thick enough such that you can grip the knife pretty well and securely. In my opinion one of the things that really ruin an otherwise good knife is a short handle. That is definitely not the problem here. Certainly, if you have pretty large hands, you may find the handle small, but for the majority of us the handle is quite satisfactory. Of course, since this is not a large knife, the question of aesthetics also needs to be considered in arriving at the size of the handle, but as I said, I find the handle size quite alright. Finally, the sheath is hard plastic with a positive latching mechanism which clicks when the knife is securely inserted into the sheath. It is pretty serviceable and well-constructed.All in all, I won't hesitate to buy this knife again.

Holy cow, I am not sure what I was expecting...
Wow, what a knife. I don't know what I was expecting when I ordered this knife. I was looking for something that would be useful when away from the house either on road trips or outdoor adventures. The knife is obviously super well built and fits in the hand better than any knife I have ever used before. I am a hobbit chef and have multiple sets of terrific French culinary knives for use in the kitchen. They are wonderful cutting tools for preparing food, but none of them sit in the hand like this knife. I have to say, when I first held the knife in the hand I said to myself, "this feels like this is a weapon". I am a photo hobbyist, not a survivalist. I put the knife back in the box thinking maybe I should return it, but after a few days I came to the realization it is just a great tool and will be perfect for the intended use. Plus, my children are all grown and have their own houses now, so I don't need to worry about unintended use by a child. If you need an unbelievable cutting tool that comes in a super sheath for carry anywhere, this knife certainly would be a great choice. Just be aware that you need to keep it out of the hands of children or anyone who might be easily upset...

Best EDC knife
Love the Bison. Blade is super sharp. Full tang. And it's a thick blade. Sheath is awesome. Can use the Sheath in many ways. Knife fits tight in sheath. Which I really like. This knife is my carry when I'm in the mountains. I use it for hunting camping and everything else outdoors. Nothing I don't like about it. One of the best knife buys for me. I owe a lot of knives and use them all but this one is now my favorite knives. It's surpassed some of my more expensive knives. Gimping is perfect for my hand. This knife feels great in my hand.

Excellent value
I was nervous about getting this knife because I have had so many bad experiences with knives made in China. Quality control is usually all over the map and the there are almost always issues with fit and finish. But lately companies like Civivi and QSP have changed my thinking and this knife continues to impress me. The fit and finish is flawless and the blade came with a mirror polish and razor sharp. The kydex sheath is also very high quality. The only complaints are that the sheath lacks a thumb ramp and the handle is a little short for me. I wear an XL glove size and would like an extra half inch of handle. This probably won’t be an issue for smaller handed users. One thing to bear in mind is that this is D2 steel which is a very hard tool steel. It holds its edge for a long time but this also makes it difficult to sharpen. Diamond stones are the only effective way to sharpen it. D2 can also be brittle so don’t expect to be able to baton large pieces of wood or treat it like a pry bar. Any lateral stress could break the blade or chip the edge. This doesn’t mean that it’s not good steel. Every steel has trade offs and with D2 you trade toughness and ease of sharpening for edge retention.

Good, Solid knife
For the price you can’t beat it. Overall good and stays relatively sharp during harsh outdoor activities. Haven’t had a problem yet. The sheath is great and very adjustable.

Wish I didn’t wait so long
This is a great knife! Perfect price, great handle and a nice sheath. With just a little bit of work this was shaving sharp. To me this is just a perfect little do everything knife. The handle could be just a smidge longer but that’s my only complaint. I also had an old multi-tool setting around so I put that on the front of the sheath. Great little package!
