Yes is one of the most innovative and successful rock bands of all time, with a career that now spans five decades. In 2003 the band made their first appearance at the Montreux Festival, despite having a long association with the town itself (they recorded there frequently in the seventies). It was a triumphant night and is regarded by both the band members and fans as probably the finest Yes gig ever to be filmed. It has been much in demand and is now finally cleared for release. TRACK LISTING 1) Siberian Khatru 2) Magnification 3) Don't Kill The Whale 4) In The Presence Of 5) We Have Heaven 6) South Side Of The Sky 7) And You And I 8) To Be Over 9) Clap 10) Show Me 11) Rick Wakeman Solo Medley 12) Heart Of The Sunrise 13) Long Distance Runaround 14) The Fish 15) Awaken 16) I've Seen All Good People 17) Roundabout

Best YES concert ever filmed!!!
This is the concert DVD I've been waiting for! Awesome camera work and ASTOUNDING sound quality! I'm glad they didn't go into any of the "Trevor Rabin" era YES... I saw them twice with that line-up and the vocals were amazing because Trevor Rabin has such a fantastic voice, but I could do without RHYTHM OF LOVE and OWNER OF A LONELY HEART... a little too pop for YES, though ANYTHING Jon Anderson is involved with is always good. I feel that he is the heart and soul of YES! I saw him with a solo band (Tony Levin on bass and Chapman Stick) and it was awesome. He only did a few YES songs and primarily covered his solo work... AND I was ten feet away from him! This concert covers EVERYTHING I wanted to hear, except I do miss hearing ANY PART of Tales From Topographic Oceans, my favorite YES album! Aside from that, it's soooo good I started feeling like I was there at the concert! A MUST HAVE for any YES fan! Absolutely jaw dropping! Ten stars out of five!

Too much zooming
Nothing wrong with the audio or video quality but the camera operators spent way too much time zooming in on the hands and not the musicians. They also missed a lot of solo stuff, very disappointed. I should have bought just the cd!

Great performance
A very strong performance from the TFTO version of the band. They came out of the starting gate a bit wobbly and the band seems like they're just going through the motions [it seems to me] (which worried me on my first listen: uh oh, is the rest of the performance like this?). But the crowd seems to have revved them up and they warm up to a very satisfying performance. It's funny that they bleeped out something Jon said at one point, not sure why they did that, to me it takes away from the archival quality of the DVD. I hate it when producers get in between me and the band like that.

YES - Live at Montreux 2003 [Blu-ray]
YES - Live at Montreux 2003 [Blu-ray] has the best image and sound quality of any YES concert video. If you buy only one YES concert video, this is the one to buy.

Excellent quality.
This sounds like a perfect Yes concert. Wish I could have been there, they are in top form and choice of songs was just right.

This Silver Disc's In Regular Rotation
There are very few DVD/Blu-ray concert films that stay in the rotation at my home. My Morning Jacket's "Okonokos", George Harrison's tribute concert, "A Concert for George", and Michael Tilson Thomas' Copland concert. I feel fortunate that this concert was captured at this late stage in the band's career.Perhaps some arrangements and time signature have been modestly modified to account for the affects of age. Perhaps Jon Anderson can't hit every high note with the extreme volume he could in the 70's. Beyond any sentimental remembrances of seeing the band live back then, I am absolutely not disappointed in the experiential value of this DVD. I've listed to "Awaken" many times over, and it still gives me the same thrill that playing it in the 70's for the first time. They are musically just a great band.My only negative comments go out to the Director of the video. It starts out with way too many fast cuts endemic to a younger generation of music film makers. Fortunately, this starts to fade as the show goes on. It was as if the camera men and the producer had never heard Yes before, but finally began to understand the band as time passed. A little microphone glitch during "And You and I", but otherwise the sonics were superb. I won't bore you with the makeup of my system, but let's just say it's very good by anyone's standards.I could take the poor video edits, but I had to drop it down one star due to the almost total absence of Chris Squire during most of the show. As noted in my above comments, I don't think it was until his bass solo that someone woke up at the editing console and said, "Wow, this guy is good. We should edit him into the film more!". Considering his animated style, wonderful bass skills, and vocal backup, it is just bewildering my he's barely show in this film.I'd look forward to a re-edited version, but don't let that stop you from finding much to enjoy about this video.

Rejuvenated fan!
First of all, this is the first Yes concert that I have purchased in any format. I guess I had forgotten how great there were. I was an avid Yes fan as a teenager back in the 70's. Their song writing was always top notch, their musical talent was second to none. Their tendency to create long songs that were more like compositions maybe contributed to their lack of commercial success. But those of us who were drawn to them were in heaven! If I had to label their music, progressive Rock comes the closest to describing their style, but truly there is nobody else that does what they do.Watching this concert now when I am in my late 50's reminds me again why there were my favorite band way back then. Steve Howe has a style that is like no other. Chris Squire's bass is so good that when he is performing one of his solos, I can't think of another that impresses me more. Maybe Stanley Clark, but don't make me choose. Rick Wakeman is the master of the synthesizer, and has a command of all the keyboards on stage. Jon Anderson's voice has lost a little of it's intensity, but hey the man has aged 40 years as well. His voice was and is like another instrument and the band would not be the same without him. I am now a rejuvenated fan and I enjoyed this concert immensely. All in all, a fantastic performance that any Yes fan will treasure.

Good, not as good as the acoustic recording.
Good but not as good as the acoustic recording. I bought this to add to my collection, however, I don't watch / listen to it as much as the acoustic one on DVD. The quality seems to be good, however there is too much crowd noise in my opinion. The song selection is good. I recommend this to any big Yes fans.

Great Video!
This is a great video of the classic Yes line-up. The performance is terrific, video and audio quality are first rate. I highly recommend this to all Yes fans, and also "not yet" Yes fans. Rick Wakeman's solo performance is worth the price of this disc alone!!!

Excellent concert featuring early Yes tunes
Excellent concert featuring early Yes tunes. Particularly poignant now since Chris Squire has passed on. I saw Yes 4 times during the 70s and 80s and they rank as one of my all-time favourite bands (progressive rock or not). Yes fans will not be disappointed.

Out of sync
The music is fabulous, so is the performance, the camera work. The only (irritating) problem is that the music is not in sync with the picture. Of course I am not sure if it is just this disc or all of them.
