Crosse & Blackwell Genuine Major Grey's Chutney 9 Oz(Pack of 2)

OK, chutney is personal. There are hundreds of them, and I'm a fan of many. We do South Asian and Far East dishes as well as meat & game often. This particular one is my generic "best," for a couple of reasons. Probably because of childhood experience, this particular taste is in my palate as flavorful and versatile. Also, this brand is readily (more or less) available in supermarkets in my part of the USA. That's a big plus, because with chutney for guests, you can't really take a chance on one you don't know. I'll keep tasting others and keep being happily surprised from time to time. But also disappointed. When I need one that's guaranteed to be what I want, this is it.

Flavor is sweet mango and is a nice addition to cold meats and currys.

I have used this brand of mango chutney for many years, and it's never disappointed me. There are many brands on the market, but why would I switch?! I ordered it because our local stores (major grocery store chains) either no longer stock it, or supplies are scarce. I use it as a condiment with many things, and just adding it to cream cheese creates a delicious and simple dip. It arrived well packaged and on time.

I use this product on all sorts of things. It really brightens things up a lot. I use it on meats and vegtables and in sauces. It's a real main stay in my house so when I couldn't find it in my local store. I was worried. Then I thought of Amazon and there it was.

We were having a difficult time finding this locally. The 2-pack is perfect. When we open the second one, we can reorder.
