Works as advertised. Better than the OEM.
I used this as a replacement for the Wfco 8955pec that was the OEM converter in my trailer. It fit perfectly, even using the same mounting screw locations. The wires on the Powermaxx are on opposite sides compared to the Wfco, but they are long enough to install without issue. My only issue was that the grounding wire was short and I had to move others wires up on the ground buss bar in order to use the lowest location for this converter (Powermaxx needs to add another few inches of ground wire to improve this product).Straightforward install and once I powered it up it works exactly as advertised. Very happy with this product so far!

Works great!
So easy to install and works great! I would not hesitate to install this on any RV. Our current converter was not charging properly, this one was so easy and as soon as I turned it on the system was up and running. It's a great upgrade to any older standard converter. For the price you can't beat it!

Perfect replacement for factory one.
Hello RV replacement converter buyers. Bought this to replace my bad factory 55 amp converter with this 75 amp in my Keystone Cougar 5th wheel. Several things I would like readers to know. First this is same dimensions as factory one aprox 10 in long x 6 3/4 in wide x 4 in tall as I couldn’t find the actual dimensions anywhere . Screwed directly to the base of my plastic electrical panel.Second the wires are on opposite ends of factory one. The wires are definitely long enough you just have to route them in the shortest possible route. I ran the 12 volt output wires through the top where the notches are with a couple pieces of rubber tubing over wires to prevent chafing against the metal notches . From there ran exact same route as old wires to the circuit board. It helps if you unclip the 12 volt circuit panel with the lugs on it until you remove the old wires and attach these new wires. The 120 volt wires are plenty long enough with the ground wire being the shortest, I had to move one of the existing ground wires up on the buss bar to free up a screw lug to attach this new ground wire to the bottom screw lug to get it to fit without splicing a piece onto the new ground wire.Third the mounting tabs on this one align perfectly with the existing mounting screws.Found this on sale in Amazon Warehouse for $113 due to a damaged box, way cheaper and heavier duty than the $265 fifty five amp factory ones.

Seems like a good charger, but I don't think I'd call it "smart"
This charger was a quick and easy replacement for the WFCO-8900 in my Rockwood Mini-lite. It seems to have a pre-programmed charging sequence that is likely very good for typical charge cycles. My only complaint so far is that if I plug in my RV when my batteries are already charged, it doesn't seem smart enough to read the static voltage and adjust its sequence accordingly. It starts its sequence, feeding (overfeeding) my batteries with 14.6 gassing volts, although the batteries only need the low-current 13.2 float-charge. Any time my RV loses AC power, it'll likely overcharge my batteries when power is re-applied. My only other complaint was that mine was shipped set to a fixed voltage instead of 3-stage charging, and the English-ish instructions were a bit unclear without a bit more poking around.

Easy install but...
Make sure to read up on this if your are installing with LifePO4 batteries. The device comes in a state that is designed for SLA batteries. You will need to switch to a single stage mode and adjust the output for use with LifePO4. Easy to do but it is something you need to do during installation. Watch the videos on YouTube or RTFM. :)

Better than original
This inverter works better than the original one has a three step when the power goes out and comes on to help you get the battery charged after the lights have pulled voltage down on it

Fits really well and replacement for all WF8900 series
This saved me over $800 in repairs from the dealer. I've only had it in for a few days but it hasn't had any issues and it charges the battery well!120v in and 13.6 out when charging.Really easy to install but keep in mind that the wires are on the other side which was a little confusing but the board was well labeled so as long as you take your time and read the labels you will save yourself a bunch of money. Also a cool little feature is that it has a green light that lights up to tell you the converter is working.

Easy to install price competitive
I replaced parallax 7155 that died on us with this unit The only thing that I had to do is to extend one wire because old ones were on the opposite sides. It fits nicely in a space of the old one.(9.5"x7.5"x4") It's a three-stage charging converter with ability to change fixed output voltage. It's preset from the factory to 14.6 no need to do anything.... So 14.6 for about 30-40 minutes then goes down to 13.6 for supposedly 12 hours and then after down to 13.2 v.. but if you want you can adjust the fix output voltage with "switch B" between 16.5v and 13 v . And then the three stage charging will start from there(I set mine to 14.4 and then 13.4 and then 13.2 only because I was testing it and that's what you'll see in the pictures , again no need to adjust anything) . Overall easy to install happy with a product.

Direct replacement for OEM converter - simple to hook up.
I used this Powermax converter to replace my "almost faulty" converter in my RV.It was a direct replacement for old converter which was OEM when I bought the trailer. It certainly charges a pile higher than my old converter did. I'm not a electrician or anything other than an RVer so I won't get into the specs but it seems to work well.I've attached photos to show how the wires were on my old converter to the new Powermax. Nothing difficult here - anyone should be able to figure this out. I did find the instructions helpful but there was one part on the instructions that I had a lot of trouble understanding. It had to do with testing the voltages before hookup and after. I couldn't figure out what it meant and I stopped the testing short as I didn't want to fry anything. I opted to install the new Powermax before.I have used a multi-meter since to confirm voltages and I know that this converter is charging my batteries while hooked up to my truck and while hooked up to shore power at site.
