What a difference it makes when you have the right tool for the job. I spent ages previously mutilating my hand with a tea towel and dinner knife. Brilliant piece of kit.

So I was originally just looking to get a fish descaler when I came across this set. I don't eat oysters on regular basis but It'll be handy to have a small Oyster knife in case I want to. If you are a regular oyster eater you may want to get a bigger one but I think this one will do the job for the rare occasionI have used the descaler and it works well and having the safety glove a bone remover is super useful. I like buying my fish whole and then deciding how to cook it so for me this set is very helpfulIt's a must have set for fish lovers, I'd definitely recommend it

Knife looks sturdy and the collar should stop it slipping past the shell. The gloves looked disappointing put them on and poked my hand with the knife and they offered no stab resistance at all, looked up what cut level 5 meant and then laid one on a ream of paper and tried with full pressure to cut through it with the shucking knife, didn't cut one fibre, should be fine against slashing slips. The scaler and pin boning tweezers look very useful too. Pretty good kit all round I'd say.

Lovely strong oyster knife, comes in a great pouch for when not in use.
