I’m taking a few minutes to write a review based on reaction from some of the other reviews I saw posted when I was shopping for a chair mat.I wanted to help out people that may be stressing out from some saying “looks nice but slides all over”. It doesn’t, read below to help you decide.I have been working from my home office for the last few months. So I needed a mat to put down on my hardwood floors to protect them from wear from my office chair.I wanted a clear mat so it doesn’t detract from the hard wood flooring. I also wanted one with a “lip” to go under the desk for my feet as well as a surface area for the chair. I found this 47”x36” one in the SHAREWIN Chair Mats for hard wood floors. Price was great at $26.99 and perfect footprint for looks and performance in a home office.So what’s the problem? Well, I kept seeing mixed reviews...some satisfied but some saying it slips and moves around too much. Oh no..who wants a chair mat that slips and moves around. Argh!Well, I decided to take a chance. I mean, at that price, it’s not a huge deal if it doesn’t work out. So, I place the order, I get the mat and now it’s time to put it to the test.First I unroll the mat and lay it down to straighten out and “uncurl”. They are shipped rolled up and wrapped, so they have to settle and lay down (time varies but usually by morning at room temperature they are flat). I put books on the corners of mine to help it flatten out. As I was doing that I did notice it seemed to slide around a bit. But, I gave it overnight to settle.The next day I pick up the books and it’s nice and flat. Now it’s on to the “slipping” test. I place it in front of my desk and *important* put the SLICK clear side down and the slightly textured/frosted side up. I put my chair on the mat. I rolled my chair around, pushed on the mat with my feet...and nothing, it stayed in place and worked perfectly fine...all day. Success! My search was over and I paid less than I had planned. Another great product found on Amazon.I’ve been using it for a few weeks now and still no problems. If you pick up the sides and pull up it will lose contact with the floor and slide wherever you move it. Then simply place it back down flat on the floor and it stays in place. Don’t worry about people saying it slides all over. If it’s sliding on them then maybe it’s a polish or coating or something on their floor (or they have the wrong side down). This mat itself has no problems, it grips the floor and works well.So hopefully that helps out anyone on the fence like I was about it. Great price, great product, no worries.

Better than what I expected...spongy padding, stays in place, corners stay flat. Great buy. No smell.

We went from carpeted floors to laminate floors. I sat down in the desk chair and went flying across the room. I immediately went onto Amazon to find chair mats. I found what I wanted and then looked at the reviews. The suggestion made in more than one review was to put the mat out in the sun so it will flatten out (it comes rolled up). I did that. Never had one second's problems. The mat laid out flat. I do not roll across the floor any more and I can easily roll the chair where ever I want to. It is thick enough and looks like it will be sturdy and last a long time. The price is right.

I bought this to protect new vinyl plank flooring in my basement workshop/office.I didn't have a problem with it laying flat, just put it down and started using it right away.After 24 hours in 65 degree temp it was fine. I've only been using it for a couple of months so can't really say anything about durability but I don't see any signs of wear and tear yet.I'm going to buy another one for my wife's office chair.

I can't believe I didn't get this sooner. I had it in my saved items for about 8 months. I was worried about some of the complaints and bad reviews but the mat has been fine for me. I have been using it for about 6 weeks, every weekday from about 9-5. I had been using a thin rug for a while which is not comfortable. With this I can easily roll from my workstation to my little laptops setup. I can easily get up to use the restroom which my rug didn't really allow for (it was small so the front wheels always locked eat the front edge of rug when getting up, and rear edge when sitting back down). The mat still looks brand new and was very easy to put in place. I have not had to touch it. I have hardwood and spent about a minute cleaning it with WATER NOT POLISH, let it dry and then rolled the mat out. I way about 160 lbs and my chair has 5 double wheels if that helps.

I just replaced my carpet with hardwood floors and decided to go with 2 different brands of mats as my office is also my craft room so I have two chairs. Here they are in comparison, and I honestly like Sharewin’s more (left) because it’s more transparent (almost invisible in person) and I can easily see my beautiful floors, and it’s also half the price.It came rolled but only one end is curled up just a bit when placed down. I did put heavy books on the corners of the curled edge and this is the next day, it’s completely flat! My chair rolls very easily and I ordered a large enough size that it has enough room to move around without the wheels falling off the edge. And if they do fall, you won’t have to physically lift the chair to put back in place because it’s flat but thick enough to protect the floor. I am very, very happy with my purchase that I am thinking of returning the more expensive one and get another Sharewin. Sharewin for the win!

As soon as I laid it on the floor the mat was almost flat. I just rubbed the edges with hand and the edges were perfectly flat. Tried rolling the chair on and off the mat and the mat remains flat. I love this. Its almost invisible and blends to the floor. Its thick enough to prevent the floor from scratches. This mat definitely does its job

It protects your hardwood floors, but it looked terrible after 5 minutes of use. In the photos you can see how it immediately gets scratched up when your office chair rolls on it. Pretty disappointing.

After reading other reviews I decided to leave the mat in the box for a few days before opening it. I then removed the packing sleeves and left it to “warm up” to room temperature for a few more days before trying to unroll it.It then unrolled very easily and after being left overnight with some heavy books along the edges it is perfectly flat.It is now laid smooth side down on top of laminated flooring which had previously been damaged by office chair wheels.The textured surface helps the wheels to move without slipping and protects the flooring from further damage.

I have a 19 year old cat who now needs a large litter tray as he isn’t very agile now. I bought this mat to put under the tray to protect my floor. It does the job perfectly and I am very pleased with it

No complaints. No smells. Thin but stays down and protects the floors as needed.

Do not be alarmed when the product arrives and is rolled up, it will quickly lie absolutely flat and provide a really good protective cover for your floor. I use it to protect my wooden floor and it performs so well I am about to buy a second for another room.

Just has it a month and it already rucks when the chair moves over it... Will have to get rid
