Fun and Musical
I bought this for my 3-year old for Xmas. It's perfect. I play horn, and he always wants his own brass instrument. He can get a big sound on this, and loves using the slide to change to pitch and play long sliding notes. He calls it his trombone. He is on the smaller side, and he can't quite reach all of the positions on the slide; there are 6 positions and he can only get to 5th.It is easy to take apart and put together. I wish it came with a case of some sort, and I will probably get a saxophone swab to clean it out as it does get filled with condensation after playing it for a while. The mouthpiece comes off and can be washed. It is between the size of a trumpet & a trombone mouthpiece and is easy for my son to buzz on.This is a great introduction to brass instruments for young children. I'm really happy I purchased this!

Good for a 3 year-old but with one design flaw
Great "first brass" experience for my three year old. I'm a band director and was excited to give this to him for his birthday. My only complaint is that the bell of the instrument comes off really easily - the connection to the rest of the instrument isn't very sturdy. The connection quickly broke so the bell wouldn't stay on. We used duct tape to permanently attach it, and while not so attractive, it fixed the problem. I love that my son can have the experience of playing a pseudo brass instrument so young. He loves it too!

Sturdy and Perfect for young beginners!
Awesome 5(+) note beginner brass instrument! I would recommend this for anyone considering a toy/beginner instrument for ulterior youngster. I plan to use a handful of these at a summer camp for pre-band students to get a feel for playing a brass instrument. These are ranged for 5 notes in the key of F. You can choose F Major, F minor, or even F Blues. The tone is decent on the best of days (read unpleasant) but pitch is steady and the markings on the slide are accurate enough to play in tune. Like I said, is a great instrument for those thinking they’d like to get their kiddo playing trombone, trumpet, or any other horn from the brass family. Have fun!!

Excellent "Buzz" Trainer for Brass Embouchure
I got this for my kids to build up their embouchure in order to learn trumpet and French Horn. I am not a professional teacher and, when I remember how hard it was for me to learn how to play when my face would go numb quickly, I thought it would be good to give my kids a fun way to build up their muscles. I had, at first, told them it's ok to walk around buzzing into my mouthpieces but quickly regretted that. It took me hours to find all of the mouthpieces...This is a sturdy instrument that has, so far, withstood even my 3-year-old. The pitch is changed by sliding the bell in and out like a trombone. I can get (almost) a single octave out of it but some simple songs play well.

Fun toy. Bad instrument.
It doesn't come with a case. Don't throw away the rubber washer. That will help you keep it assembled.Everyone wants to know if you can play music on the pBuzz. The real question is, how do you feel about your ability to play in 2' C? Have you got 2.5 octave range on a 3 valve Piccolo Trumpet? I know I don't!So yeah. The pBuzz is basically a slide vuvuzela in 2' C. I can't tell if it's legitimately a half tube instrument or if I don't have an appropriate mouthpiece, whatever that would be. The included mouthpiece is the same ~22mm deep cup Alto Trombone mouthpiece that comes with the pBone Mini. If you want to use another mouthpiece, even with the proper shank, you may still need some shimming due to the receiver. Bore size is massive, stepped, and tapered. All of this conspires to make an experience that isn't particularly musical. You can make cool noises, and it can be fun, but you're not playing much in the way of music unless you're of a very rare skill set.

Don't waste your money
Purchased as Christmas gift for 7 yo. As a I trumpet player cannot make it do anything but short blarg sound. It is not sturdy. There is one small plastic lip that holds it together once mouthpiece is removed. It cracked first day - son never breaks toys. If it had not been. Santa gift I would have returned. Pricey for blarg noise maker.

Fun for everyone!
The whole family has had a great time learning how to make the loudest toot. Only plays a small range, and beginners won’t be able to play notes immediately, but with practice you can parp out a few classic hits. And mostly, it’s a great way to learn how to buzz in a mouthpiece. Nice fun way to prepare for learning trumpet or similar instrument.

It's a lot of fun to play this
I'm a band director, and I was fascinated by this "brass" alternative to the recorder. I've been exploring the idea of starting my beginning students on recorders before giving them their instruments, but I was worried my brass players would be left out. It's a lot of fun to play this, and the pitches are accurate. My only issue is that it doesn't contain D or E pitches. It has F, G, A, Bb, B, and C. It's great for 5-note songs in the key of F, but I would love it that much more if it could handle more pitches. However, that didn't stop me from purchasing a second one for my 3-year-old nephew for Christmas!

Good item.
This is a great instrument for beginners. Bought it for my son 7 for has shown an interest in music. He loves it. Hasn't much tonal movement, but it works very well for beginners.

Perfecto para los niños
Un instrumento que es perfecto para que los niños entiendan cómo funcionan los instrumentos de metal e incluso la física de los tubos sonoros. Tiene un sonido muy potente que a los niños les encanta. Un accesorio más para la clase de música
