Whirlpool refrigerator control board.
Worked perfectly in our Whirlpool refrigerator even though my model number was not listed on Amazon.Great quality with excellent instructions. Now we can control the temp again.

Fixed no cool and dashes in readout
Refrigerator and freezer stopped cooling. Read out showed dashes instead of numbers. This was easy to install and program. Fixed and running again. It's wrong that manufacturers haven't solved this problem. Ridiculous that appliances are only operating a few years and have become a disposable product!

Bad product
Worked great for 2 months, then stopped, trying to get them to honor their 1 year warranty has not been successful. I do not recommend this product or company.

Works great but instructions left out important info
This board works great and costs way less than the OEM. I’ve seen many complaints of the freezer and/or refrigerator being too hot or too cold after installing the new board. There is a very easy fix for this. The instruction sheet that comes with the new board shows how to enter “service test mode.” This is different than the programming mode, which must be performed first. The service test instructions only describe test mode 1 thru 6. But there are more tests availability. There is a test 7 for the refrigerator and a test 8 for the freezer. They give you a temperature range from 1 (warmest) to 9 (coldest). This solved my issue with the refrigerator making my food too cold.

Works. Instructions apparently updated (correct)
I had the normal failure of the factory control board. As an EE I took it out and looked carefully and no component had visible failure signs, so we can presume it is a failure of one of the CMOS logic chips - maybe a power surge or ???? Anyway, not fixable and not likely related to the "upgraded parts" on this board.Originally there were reports of incomplete instructions. The instructions that are enclosed are now correct and consistent with the video that may be found on YouTube (search: "How To: Whirlpool/KitchenAid/Maytag Electronic Control Board WPW10503278").Installed and works. So far. let's see in 3 years.Elapsed time (triple reading all instructions, wrestling with stiff cold plastic tabs, etc) 30-40 minutes. A pro could do it in 5. but first time I measure thrice, cut once.Note this part fits dozens of models form many Maytag associated brands.

Worked
Easy to install and has been working well. Spending $30 to fix a $1500 fridge was a no brainer

It is an upgraded replacement part
This will be my on-hand spare. I replaced this part for the 4th time on 09/26/2023. Purchased the Kenmore Frig in 2006. Always the same evaporator heater failure.

too cold out of box, can be programmed warmer, but still functions differently than OEM
I took a gamble on the "too cold" commenters doing something wrong, nope...it's too cold. From the diagnostic menu (fridge temp down 3 times) you can use menu 7 to adjust the temp warmer. Kind of arduous to do though. I ended up using temp 1 on the display, and temp 3 or 4 on the menu setting to get an okay temp. All that said, I'm pretty sure this board operates differently than stock. I sit adjacent to the fridge, and I never noticed my fridge operating with the stock board. With this new board it makes way more noise (like electronic switches turning off and on repeatedly) I have no idea if these noises are bad, but i've never known extra noises to be good for any appliance. So, IMO, I'd rather pay $10 more for the "non-upgraded" jazz board that operates as OEM....and I have since done so. I'll save this for the next time my jazz board goes out as a temporary fix.
