Nordic Ware Autumn Delights Cakelet Pan

Big fan of the cake tins from Nordicware; I also bought a set of skull cake molds from them as well three years ago and those have remained in great condition. I don't use the dishwasher; only handwash with a sponge which is a bit of a pain with all those nooks and crannies but that's a good trade for having such detailed definition in my cakes. I've used these to make banana bread, cornbread, and regular yellow cake and each time they've all come out of the tin beautifully and are such a showstopper. Out of an abundance of caution I do use a baking spray just to ensure that none of the batter will stick. I also let the cakes/whatever cool around five minutes before I turn over the tin and let them fall out. Feels slightly heavy in a way that I like; it feels like good quality. This is definitely a brand that I'm willing to seek out by name for my cookware, especially anything in a themed shape.

I made Mexican cornbread in this pan for a fall themed dinner. Spice cake mix made cute mini cakes with a cinnamon sugar coating. While I love the coppery color I wish they put a hole so I could hang on wall with other fall decor.

Another great Nordic Ware product. Nice heavy pan with good coating and even cooking. Very nice design. Now I'm ready for some fall baking.

I used these last year and loved what I made. I am anticipating using in the next couple of weeks to serve instead of cookies at a "Senior" program. If you follow the pan prepping directions, the cakelets will be easy to remove and the pan will be easy to clean if you use a nordic ware brush or maybe a baby tooth brush or a nylon tipped angle cleaner. Just make sure the spray you use to prep the pan is brushed into all the design. These can be decorated or used plain - to counter the "plain", adding maybe a flavored extract (like orange) will make everyone happy. I probably have about a dozen Nordic ware cake pans of one kind or another.

Bought the pan on Amazon but before I used it I found the same pan at Home Goods for $19.99. Returned the Amazon purchase. The pan itself works great. Used Bakers Joy spray which worked perfectly. Cakes popped right out and looked perfect. Nice definition on the shapes.

Around here we love fall and pretty food. I bought this for my daughter and we just made Jiffy mix corn bread in it the first time to try it out. They are tiny, bigger than a mini but smaller than a regular 12-in muffin. And oh so adorable!!! I was out of Baker’s Joy so used melted butter dusted with flour to prep the pan; they released perfectly. I over-filled them to the top so they looked like a muffin with a pretty bottom. This was fine for us, we had them with soup that night. But next time will abide the 3/4 fill rule. Clean up was a breeze using a soft bristled wand I use for washing glasses and bottles. Can’t wait to show them off on Autumnal Charcuterie Boards!

Quality Nordicware pan. The autumn designs are beautiful. Use it all year, not just for autumn. The price is very fair. Appreciate very much that it is made in the USA!
