Not what I was expecting, per se, however very pleased. Historically I've always had down/feather pillows that, towards the end, weren't very substantial; they had become flat (but we're talking a reeeeeeeally long time). So, I'm used to soft, flat-ish pillows -- I had four and would stack at least two to sleep on. I'm mostly a side sleeper and occasionally will sleep on my back.About THESE pillows ...Incredibly soft and enveloping. I can see how some people may complain that these pillows are TOO soft. The pillows are almost .... floppy due to softness and pliability. Stuffing them in pillow cases, they did sort of fold, creating almost a "fissure" at the fold site. However, they did fluff/plump right up after put in the case and shaken a bit.Overall, I definitely recommend these pillows - I think they're great. I like a soft pillow that isn't specifically used or needed for support. While there is a little resistance, I would never consider these pillows even medium-to-soft. Also, I should note, these won't mimic a feather pillow, there's a notable difference. That said, the difference isn't bad if you're not looking for a down replacement.

These pillows are definitely not for day to day use. They make a great addition to your bed spread as a way to add a touch of luxury. But, they will not sustain use for sleeping. They are very soft, and are not overfilled giving you that lived-in pillow feel. I would have love some more stuffing. But I’ll take what I can get for the price. The packaging is quite nice and helps when you’d like to put these away so they don’t get covered in dust. Most importantly you are saving baby birds when using down alternative.

I must admit I am a pillow lover! I have about seven on my bed that range from firm to ultimate softness. These range in the middle. They are somewhat flat so I have to put a pillow underneath (which is why I rated it four stars). I am also a side sleeper and a back sleeper. For people who sleep on their stomach these may be ideal. They don't lift your head too high but gives it enough boost so your head is not hanging. I have severe allergies and I have not sneezed once since I have had these. The cover material is super soft. Definitely should be considered.

My son has down alternative pillows, and, ever since I slept on them I have been hooked. These are as nice as his. Good price for set of 2 pillows. They came in a HUGE, tall box! I thought it was a mistake. That is better than the alternative! They are long enough to fill my California King pillow cases. The last pillows I bought were very cheap, and they flattened soon after I bought them. These were difficult to search for. I searched Google and I found them on Amazon listed there. I usually go to Amazon for everything....well....almost! Now my husband is getting a hard pillow, because he needs neck support. I told him to simply place the old pillow stacked with the new one. Another great purchase from Amazon.

The pillows are beautiful large and fluffy, too fluffy. My head will sink right down into this but the pillow will poof up on any spot that isnt weighted by my head or hand, i.e. if I turn sideways the pillow fluffs up and covers my mouth and nose making breathing a laborious task. Its great for a lounging or as a reading pillow, but if you sleep on your side or your stomach, I wouldn't recommend it. Even sleeping on my back I can feel the pillow pressing upwards and inclining my head more than I would like, putting a strain on me as my head fights to stay down. I feel as though I need to place some weights on this pillow for a week and then try it again, maybe it wont put up so much of a fight then.

They work well. I wanted two pillows to fill the matching decorative pillows from our duvet cover. They work well for the job, and don't go flat like our down pillows. I don't sleep on them, and don't intend to. Purchased for purely decorative purposes, so you can't beat the price! They aren't uncomfortable though, I did make the bed and lay on them for a few minutes and couldn't complain (I just prefer down pillows for sleeping).

We bought these pillows to replace the $8 walmart pillows we were using (you get what you pay for). I LOVE them. My head sinks in and I can re-fluff them and shape them any way I want. However, my husband doesn't like them (which is why I gave 4 stars instead of 5). He thinks they offer enough support and flatten out too easily. I guess I just like my pillows softer and he likes them firmer. So if you're looking for firm support, this isn't it. If you're like me and like to sink in to your bedding, these pillows are fantastic. Good price too.

I bought two different types of down alternative pillows last year hoping for something super squishy and snuggly. Irma destroyed my bed and everything in it. So, I'm back to buy replacements! For the price they're definitely a good option for something very soft. Calling them medium firm is being pretty liberal with the definition of both medium and firm though.
