Longevity
I bought this nearly 8 months ago and it's now not working at all. Not sure if it's the quality or just a fault. The problem is that you have no redress at this point even if you manage to get through to Amazon...

Does not meet UK standards
The supplied mains lead does not meet UK standards. The plug has a sleeved earth. The fuse fitted seems to just be a piece of wire crimped into the shell, so likely also non compliant. The moulding of the IEC connector has a gap in it suggesting poor QC.The power supply itself seems to work ok. It gives out 12.4v. I only tested to 400mA so can't say if it will supply the rated 5A for any length of time. Without breaking it open there isn't any way to see how well made the supply actually is but the knock off mains lead doesn't bode well.It's a cheap 12v power supply. It seems to work. It might work for years. It might die tomorrow. It might fry your kit. You pays your money, you takes your chance.At the very least the mains lead should go in the bin!
