Fun for all ages
Even as an adult, I find these guys too cute :) I did buy this for my 4 year old daughter & she loves it too. Does wear on the batteries if played with alot--would highly recommend getting rechargable batteries to swap out. If you have more than one, they interact & talk to one another. Personalities change depending on how you treat them. And if they are driving you nuts & you want to force them to "go to sleep", you just pull & hold their tail til they yawn & say they are sleepy (about 5 seconds) or lay them on their side til they go to sleep. Love the bright coloration on this Furby too. Can get the app to interact with them that way which is fun but not compatible with all devices. We have 2 tablets that are android based (Kindle Fire & an RCA one) that won't work with the app :( Only one that will is my smartphone (LG G2) but I refuse to drain my battery for their toys. Still fun without the app tho.

the Furby will change from sweet, to mean
We purchased the Furby Boom for my 8 year-old son. My initial concern was that he would either be too old for this, or it would be too "feminine" of a toy for him. Of course, the first thing he said was "I think this is for a girl..." However, after chit chatting with Furby for a few minutes, the entire family was in tears from laughing so hard. In conclusion, he ended up loving Furby. It has multiple personalities, literally. Depending on how you're interacting with it, the Furby will change from sweet, to mean, to "Jolly", or hyper. Pets clash with our current lifestyle, so in a weird way, this somewhat fills a small void for my son. You feed it, pet it, hug it, talk to it, dance & sing with it, etc. When syncing it with the iPad, you can play sports with the Furby, take it to the restroom, feed it, and bathe it. I almost gave it 4 stars because it comes with absolutely no instructions. However, everything you need can be found online, including an online dictionary/translator to decipher the "Furbish". In conclusion, my son loves Furby so much, he's suggested we buy the entire Furby family. :-/

A mix of positive & negative
My son would give this more than 5 stars if he could, but since his Momma is writing this, it will be from HER perspective. Yes, my son loves this toy, & I like that it helps teach him, as he uses the app, how to care for someone, giving them basics; food, clothing, grooming, etc. He's Autistic, so I see this as a definite plus. The downside is the thing has split personalities (no disrespect to those who really have that), & it can go from cute, adorable Furby to some rude, obnoxious and crude Furby with a man voice that burps & farts with no "excuse me" afterwards. The other personality is actually pretty unsettling. So I give it 3 out of 5 stars for what it can teach in a positive way, but also not 5 stars b/c of what it teaches in a negative way---PLUS it can get pretty annoying to the rest of us really quickly! It's definitely not the original cutesy Furby!

DO NOT BUY THIS USED!!!!!!
It was trash! It did not work good, only on for a minute, then turned off. Whoever sold the bad copy to me should be arrested.

So cute!
Much better than the 2012 furby and very durable. My 4-year-old and 2-year-old have been playing with it for over a month now and its still working as good as it was the day we got it.Being able to put it to sleep by pulling it's tail for 10 seconds or laying it on its back is a very nice addition.

boo
These newer furbys are annoying, frankly. The older ones, original ones, were more fun and interactive with kids. These new ones rely on each other to learn or the app. They go from surfer dude talk to valley girl talk to strange sounding, almost eery, voices. My children prefer the older model much more. This one has been in a coat closet for months. Will be donating.

One of the Few Toys My Kids Still Enjoy Playing With
This is one of the few toys my kids still enjoy playing with after 1st getting them almost 3yrs ago and I think the free interactive Furby Boom App has helped a lot with keeping their interest in them and what I like is years later they're still evolving and will start doing and saying new stuff which surprises me.What I Don't Like...No On/Off Switch:Even though they eventually fall asleep after a certain amount of time if you leave them alone, there's no on/off switch! You can shut them down by pulling & holding out their tail for 10 seconds (they'll yawn), but they're easily reactivated by the slightest movement or bump which can add to draining the batteries. No Volume Control:Like a lot of children's toys they're Extreamly loud, Way above the maximum decibel level that's considered safe for children's hearing (and adults I'm sure).*If these things were added I'd give it 5🌟's!

Goofy and silly furby
My son has been wanting a furby for a couple years now since my daughter received one as a Christmas gift one year. We got this for his 6th birthday. This one was a good deal from what they usually cost. You can download the furby boom app which makes it more fun to play with furby. You get to name it, feed it, toliet it, shower furby, ect. Really funny! Many hours of giggles.Great buy!
