VicTal MP3 MP4 Player with 16GB Micro SD Card - Blue

 I had a Christmas gift request for a simple but functional MP3 player, and this one fit my needs perfectly. It wasn’t the most expensive one out there and doesn’t have a lot of the fancy stuff, but it’s not the cheapest one either. I chose the middle ground because it has a good track history with lots of nice features and options, and it has all the features my gift recipient wants in an MP3 player. It can play MP3 and MP4 files, it can operate as an FM receiver, an ebook reader, and a voice recorder. This model also includes a 16 GB micro SD card that can easily be changed out with other micro SD cards, up to 64 GB in size, so you can load up whatever you want and change them out as needed. Plus it’s small and can fit easily in your hand or pocket and it’s very inconspicuous if you don’t want people to see that you’re using it, unlike other tablets or smartphones that are virtually impossible to hide. The only thing I want to point out is that you do have to use regular earbuds with it, it is not Bluetooth enabled. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, just something you should be aware of.UPDATE 12/22/16: Okay, when I purchased this item and wrote the review, this ran $20 so yeah, at that price it was what I considered to be a middle-of-the-road player as far as price goes. Thanks to a comment on my review I now see it's well over $50 and no, for that price there are plenty of other players out there with a ton more features giving you a bigger bang for the buck. I am deducting a star for the price hike which I consider to be a bit much for this particular player. (For those of you that remember the TV show "In Living Color": "Homey don't play like that ...")

Extremely cheap, broke after a few days, the interface sucks and isnt very friendly even if it was working. the headphones i plug into my phone and computer are fine but as soon as i plug them into this mp3 the music gets shaky and it skips constantly. i do work at a job where it may hit things occasionally. my ipod never had an issue with it. so maybe if you never drop it or use it in a way that is gentle, but yes it feels extremely cheap.

Battery Life not very long. But other than that I like it. Very old school technology, I like it because I don't like my music on my smart phone when I am exercising.

Poor quality! I uploaded songs & this player would play for a few seconds the skip to the next song. I deleted all then re-uploaded & same thing. The screen plastic part popped out. This was after only 1 week.

USB charging port is offset and wouldn't plug in, and then out of nowhere it started rebooting itself over and over! Returned 2 days later. JUNK!

Still haven't gotten it to work

I was contacted by the seller and they provided help with my problems. I finally got the item to charge and after 4 complete charges and 3 complete drains I am updating my review. I give the seller 5 stars. The product was as advertised however I feel it would be better if more documentation was provided. I do not have documentation from the manufacturer that using a USB plugged into the wall is an approved method to charge so I'm not completely happy. Most battery and product damage is do to the charging being done incorrectly so still can't give the product 5 stars.

Broke the next day I got it. I ordered this for my 10 year old brother. Not durable at all. Don't wast your money on this cheap thing. Put a little extra money towards a nicer one that'll actually last.
