DIMBRAH Pizza Peel 16 inch

The first time we tried grilling a pizza (without a peel), it involved two adults to flipping spatulas and way too much trial and error, mostly error. :) Enter this pizza peel, we had to try it out the day we got it and wow, did it make life much easier! My husband was able to put the pizza on the grill in a matter of seconds, all by himself.My tips would be to dust the peel generously with flour, cornmeal or a mix of the two, have all your sauce and toppings ready to go nearby before you shape your dough. After it's shaped, drop the dough on the peel, top and get it into the oven as quick as possible. The crust dough will absorb the flour as it sits which can lead to sticking on the peel. But we did the above tips and had no issues.The handle on this peel folds, which makes for easy storage, it is harder to lock and unlock simply because it is so sturdy. We washed between putting the pizza on and taking it off and again before putting away, both times it was an easy clean with hot water.

I have tried a couple different pizza peels before this one. I had a full-size wooden one that cost 2x as much (from a DTC company) but I dropped it from only about 6 inches above the floor and it split in half! They wouldn’t accept a return!! I tried a different folding pizza peel that I bought on Amazon, and promptly returned it because the handle was really flimsy and it was not secure.Third time’s a charm with this one! The handle is super sturdy, I love the locking mechanism to make sure that the Peel does not shift left or right, and land my pizza on the ground. So far, I love it. Because it folds it fits nicely into my cabinet!Really happy with this one!!

Since it's made of stainless steel, it's extremely sturdy (most metal ones are made of aluminum). It's also a little heavier than an aluminum one. I don't care for the way the handle latches in place with a little slider, because the catch could theoretically move. I don't want to take any chances on it moving. The handle could easily be fixed into a permanent position by drilling one hole and adding a sheet metal screw...it would be solid as a rock then, but you would lose the folding feature. For now, I have just wrapped some waxed string by the sliding catch to keep it from moving. You could also just stretch a thick rubber bad around the handle down by the catch. If you want a very sturdy metal peel, this one is great. BTW, it is exactly 13" wide.

This is very sturdy. I am a little nervous dealing with the 500° oven but this peel is sturdy and the handle is long enough to slide the pizza in and pick it up with out getting burnt. The handle fold in for storage. Very happy with this purchase.

We were looking for a thinner pizza peal to work with our new 16" Ooni. This pizza peel will work excellent for turning the pizza in the oven. We were happy to find one that is less expensive and thinner than the wooden one we had. We are very happy with our purchase.

Very sturdy and folds up easily for storage.

I love the size of this peel, it's just right for a good sized pizza. I also use it for bread making. It folds up nicely and fits right in the cabinet.

The peel is very sturdy considering its size. The handle locks in place securely when in use and allows for easy storage when folded.

Good product for the price

I like the peel, but the attachment of handle to peel is a bit persnickety. Sometimes it's easy to secure, others it can be a bit iffy. All in all, it's a good buy.
