these bits are a world of difference compared to cheap drill bits . these are a joy to use and just cut all woods like butter

Having a sharp bit with the Brad point makes precision wood boring easy. I’d greatly recommend this set to any home wood worker. I’m not sure how they would hold up if you were to stress them under daily use scenario but, for the casual woodworker they fit well.

They work well, but a lot of blow-out on the back side of Select Pine.

Worked good for what I needed

I love the brad points on these. Although I did punch a couple extra holes in a finger or two getting them out of the box and cleaned up. They come in a serviceable plastic case with nests for each length bit. When received they were coated with a sticky protective coating which I had to remove with a solvent. They kinda stuck to their container and getting them out the first time is where I got stuck by the points. Once I got the sticky stuff removed from the drills and the storage box they no longer tended to stick to the box. I did notice that the 5/16" bit and the 5/16th dowel pins I bought are not an exact fit with each other. Either the fluted dowel pins are slightly undersized or the bit is drilling a slightly oversized hole. The dowel pins drop easily into the drilled holes. I am accustomed to having to push or tap the dowels into the holes. I tried the drill and dowels on 2 pieces of scrap wood putting a little glue into the holes and coating the pins with a light glue coating. I let the test dry overnight and could not break the joint even by holding the base of the test piece in a vise and bashing the second piece with a heavy mallet, so I think the holds are acceptable for gluing the dowels.

I do not know why I did not purchase brad-tipped earlier. So helpful for even a casual woodworker. Throw the traditional twist bits to the back of the cabinet! And use that center-punch for more demanding jobs. X marks the spot when you have a brad-point

Solid drill bit set. Works great in my drill. Good clean and smooth drill holes.

I bought this set to work on Christmas presents. I needed the 5/32 bit, clamped it in my drill press. It wobbles, bent!! Couldn’t believe it! I took it out and did it again, didn’t help. I guess you get what you pay for!

The wider diameter bits are all warped. None of them are as sharp as New bit typically are. Cheapo ryobi bits are a step up from what I received.

I set these aside after finding a second bit that cut horribly. The first time I used the 1/8" bit I actually thought I left my drill in reverse. Very disappointing.

Should of paid a little more and obtain a quality product... this one is not worth the purchase ...product came in with broken plastic case and bit size ... unreadable on bit.. even with a magnifying glass...

Does not drill to correct size.
