nice and with variety in general
this game is about collecting characters, each one with a different ability, and use those characters and abilities to reach the end of the level. This works pretty much in the fashion of 'Lego' games (at least with the Pirates of The Caribbean), but you walk with two characters instead of one, and some times you require to use both characters at the same time. The game can range from a wide variety of people. There is a simple solving puzzles part, and there is arcade. Arcade consist mainly in getting somewhere and shoot everything that moves. My first intention after buying this game was to find precisely this: enter a room and shoot; there are some bugs in this part tough.About the solving puzzle, is not complicated at all. You don't require to have watched the cartoons before hand, or know what each character does or how are they called (I still don't know who most of they are, or their names, as I'm not a fan of these cartoons and they don't mention their names). What they do and what is the use of their abilities is evident the first time you use each one of them (or the narration tells you); there are characters with equivalent abilities (like crossing through a beam either by becoming transparent or by deviating the beam, with different characters). Also, there is not a lot to remember about matching attacks with abilities: there is melee or punching, shooting or ranged attack, and special power, nothing else. This means that, since you use two characters at the same time, in the levels where baddies use shields, you walk with a punching character and a shooting character most of the time, that's all. All puzzles consist of using a certain ability to reach the end of the room. there is almost no possibility to screw the game by making a wrong choice; you can not destroy the things you need to solve a puzzle, or to take them to another room, and all things to solve any part are in the same room. The only time I had a problem with a wrong choice was with 'Spidey' and one of the levels near the end, where i had chosen a wrong path, with no way out (if you are Spidey, instead of Wolverine). I had to restart the level, but luckily, it was at the beginning of the level, just after retrieving Spidey in the second room I visited (there are 'cheats' to avoid restarting anyway, and no, is not a secret code, just things you observe during the game). As with most games, one of the first things you do is just try the buttons to find out what they do; with this you will find out each button can do something different, and some buttons may change effect depending of the time you keep the button pressed, so for example, you can change the intensity of an attack (useful in one of the last levels, boss fight), or for example, change between the characters you have retrieved from where you are standing, with no need to go to a swap station, which are useful only for reaching new characters. There are no mazes or cryptic paths, most of the time the level tells you where to go, and there is a map that marks the next objective. All the things that must be handled by a special or unique character, are marked with the character's face (some abilities come in both male and female, and some abilities are unique to only one character). Some of the puzzles are for example, since you move with two characters at the same time, after having placed one of the characters at the exit, move the other character to the end as well. You probably will find that if you just want to reach the exit, some puzzles are not necessary; but you do them anyway if you want to, and that many puzzles offer many ways to solve them. There are no things that aren't evident, or at least things that require just some tough, that can not be solved with what you have and need to search some obscure info somewhere; some times you just need to watch carefully and notice that even tough a switch does not work, the other switch in the same room is functional. The boss fights have a lot of action but do not require thought. All boss fights are with a specific character (there is no choice), so it is obvious you need to use the character abilities to win over the bad boss (which are already familiar, since you reached the end of the level by using these abilities), or at least see what elements are in the room, which may have something to do with defeating the boss.Drawbacks: in the arcade part of the game (shooting whatever is in the room), some characters can not shoot and move at the same time, and most characters have a lag time every time they end or start an action; this is annoying when there are baddies shooting from everywhere, and you get a shoot in that lag time, so you can not get up.. but since you control only one character at a time, the other character fights on his/her own, and sometimes to defeat baddies in a room is just to choose the right partner, which is also frustrating if you wanted to shoot them yourself. Sometimes the partner just gets in the way, where he or she can not defeat a baddie but gets in the path of your character. The lag thing i guess is because the baddies behavior is too simplistic, to level things down. Also as a drawback, there is the rendering of the cut scenes. I get the impression the depth of some elements is backwards, but it hurts the eyes to see some cut scene videos in 3d. In general, tough this game has more or less static scenes (unlike a car or plane simulator), I've felt more eye strain with this game than usual, I don't know why.

Perfectly Solid...
Okay so I ordered this game because the show this is based off of is a guilty pleasure... and I love the Online Version of the game.. and I will say if you are a fan of one or either.. you will probably like this game.. it's a good one.. and perfectly solid fun.. it's not the best title 3DS has to offer.. but it's not as bad as some say either.. so let's look at the pluses and minuses..+ The Graphics are good and look a lot like the cartoon and online game..- Th graphics are just a slight step above the DS.. and for some reason the 3D has a habit of causing some eye strain apparently..+ This game has a decent selection of characters including Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, Captain America etc.- Some of the characters you will very seldom see or use.. (Captain America and Nova for instance)+ The levels have fun puzzles and some really make you stop and think..- The Boss Battles at the end only has one character.. and sometimes.. (The One with Wolverine for instance) can be greatly frustrating. In addition the last half of the game a lot of time is spent back tracking to the Swap Spots put that with the fact that the game has a habit a lagging at times.. this is somewhat time consuming.+ The flying scenes are somewhat fun.- The flying scenes cause some strain on your eyes.. and can be very difficult. .. especially in 3D+ Playing as the villains in the final level is fun.. and they have their own bosses to defeat.. (She Hulk, Black Widow, Captain America, and Nova)- Unfortunately unless the challenges prove me wrong despite what the box says you only get to play as 4 villains.. (Not 6)(Doc Doom, Loki, Magneto, and Abomination) In addition you would think from reading the box you could play a villains version of the story... (So far have not seen it)+ The combat is simple and fun..- If you are carrying the wrong characters.. you can be KO'ed by enemies easily.. (The enemies have shields sometimes.. and you need to hit them with a type of attack to lower them.. if you don't it's a hopeless cause)+ The Controls are fast and responsive..- well Reptil when you get him in Dino mode with Triceratops head.. yeah that is a little more difficult..+ The sounds are nice enough and the voices are perfect..- well the combat sounds are pretty basic.. and the characters say the same things over and over..In the end.. this game is fun.. and you will enjoy it if your a fan... but it has it's down sides that keep it from being the classic it deserves to be.. or even very good.. in the end.. I only recommend it if you are a fan of the show.. or the online version of the game or both... it's basically a arcade beat em up..and puzzle game in one.. it's good.. just not as good as it could have been..Tips and Tricks.1. Defeat every enemy in the room.. this will open doors.. and activate lasers and Portals2. Make sure unless there is a puzzle preventing it.. to carry a Melee and a Ranged character in your squad.. this will help to prevent you from being defeated.3. Enemies with Blue Shields can only be defeated by Melee characters(Hulk, Wolverine, etc) Enemies with Red Shields can only be defeated by Ranged characters. (Iron Man, Nova, etc) Enemies with Purple Shields can only be hit with special attacks (Hulks hand slap, Iron Man's Missiles, etc.)4. Invisible Woman's energy blocks has multiple uses including.. Blocking Lasers, Weighing down blocks, and if done right.. smashing enemies..5. Captain America can take place of Wolverine so much in the fact that he can run over electric charged floors, run through certain energy doors etc.6. Nova has a forcefield like Scarlett Witch and can deflect lasers.7. Keep Invisible Woman throughout the Hellicarrier with all the back tracking to the swap spot you'll be doing she comes in handy.8. In the Epilogue Doom does not need Starks Puny Swap Machines... just switch to a villain you don't need for a puzzle.. and press X and hold it for a little bit.. the characters will swap if you only have 2 and Doom.. or the little swap circle will appear allowing you to change the character to the character you need..9. Remember that even if one of your characters goes to a room.. or through a portal that A. The second character in your squad will automatically pop up.. and B. your life is instantly recharged.10. Have fun.. and Good Luck Squadies.. time to Hero Up..

Marvel Super Hero Squad
In many ways, Marvel Super Hero Squad: The Infinity Gauntlet turns out to be a rather nice game. It's got a great number of super heroes, a decent combat system and some very nice graphics and voices. What a pity the enemies respawn constantly and the whole experience becomes boring and repetitive very soon.

Lots of Fun but Challenging for younger kids
My son is obsessed with superheroes and loves Super Hero Squad. So while the game itself is not hard it has a lot of reading so if your child cannot read yet- either prepare yourself or look for something with voice over.

Super Hero Squad
Bought this game for my kids and they love it! They like the fact that you can switch between multiple super heroes while playing and you aren't limited to just 1 or 2.
