So glad I bought this. I wanted a parasol to use at a summer festival I just attended. Typically the weather for this weekend festival is always sunny and hot, with bouts of rain, and this year was no different. This product was just the ticket, as besides being a parasol, it's also an umbrella. It was light enough and compact to stash in a bag, and easy to use when needed. I like the feature that it does not open automatically, as push-button umbrellas in my experience tend to open at whim and sometimes refuse to open upon command. This sun/rain umbrella was easy to open and close, and was strongly made without being clunky. I chose the silver top/sky blue lining model, and I found the silver top created additional coolness as it reflected, rather than absorbed, the hot sunshine, and on a heat-stroke and humid day, that feature was bliss. Some reviewers have complained that this parasol was not good for the beach, and not big enough for two. My feeling is that it's not meant to be a beach umbrella nor to sustain gale winds, nor is it built for two. I found it sturdy enough for less extreme conditions, and just the right size for using in fairly crowded conditions-- kept me covered without poking out eyes of every passer-by! If two people walk nearly joined at the hip it will cover two, and certainly that would be easier if one of them is a child. For me it provided convenient and cool protection from heat-stroke and skin cancer, and for that I am very grateful.

It was mildly windy and the frame wanted to collapse. It was very cute however, and I really like the design.

Bought this to bring with me on a recent trip to Italy in July/August as we were going to be doing lots of outdoor sightseeing and I wanted to make sure I had plenty of protection from the sun as I am quite fair and it was going to be HOT and sunny! This umbrella is cute and due to the double-layer fabrication does a fantastic job of shielding you from the sun's burning rays. No complaints there. However! There are a few drawbacks:1. It does not open automatically - only manual open. This may seem like a small thing, but when you're maneuvering through larger crowds/tight spaces around indoor/outdoor spaces (as is common especially at historic sites and areas), this becomes a bit of a pain in the butt to have to use both hands to open/close the umbrella, because you're probably already carrying a bag, water bottle, holding a kid's hand, etc.2. It is NOT windproof. Not even a little bit. Even a mild gust of wind blows through, and this thing turns inside-out. It didn't destroy the umbrella, but you do then need to fully close it, then re-open it again. Annoying for sure.3. The diameter isn't all that wide - yes, measurements are provided, but it is absolutely not wide enough for two adults to comfortably fit under. It does say "compact," but I think the pics make it look larger than it really is IRL. Don't be fooled!All in all, I was happy with it, it served its main purpose, but I was annoyed about those few details.

I need sun protection but spf umbrellas that truly are high quality AND block the sun just look like rain umbrellas. This OZ is styled after the beautiful Asian style bamboo/waxed ricepaper sun parasols that are lovely enough to carry at outdoor weddings. The handle is genuine wood, and the ribs are “faux” bamboo. And -bonus!-it doubles as a rain umbrella, holds up on a windy beach, great size for travel! I have owned the silver/pale blue for several years.Just this morning I went to send the link to a friend and noticed they now carry silver with a pink interior as well.

Looks great, light blue inside with silver outside. Other reviews probably got sent the wrong one (no silver outside), we got the right one, but if that happens to you i'd just send it back for a replacement.Manual, but super easy to open and close. Locks well at the top and only a soft lock at the bottom so it's easy to pull open.The super light materials on the frame and handle make it feel a little flimsy that i'm scared it'll break, so I can't tell the quality, but I guess time will tell. The material on the top canopy feels and looks really high quality.Super pleased so far, I'll update in a few months to 5 or 3 depending if it breaks or not ($36 at time of purchase)

Wasn't what I was looking for, not very sturdy and the handle is to small for my grip, also feels like it won't last very long. Return.

Got the silver one with rose gold handle. Looks really good and is sturdy.

This umbrella was exactly as pictured, however I have to use some force to get it to click in to stay up.

This umbrella is sturdy, blocks sun and heat well and opens and closes nicely. The wrist strap is elasticated but not flimsy so is soft on the wrist. Folds down quite small so fits in the door of my car. I will be getting more. Also quite fast postage to Queensland Australia.
