Delicious, Traditional Christmas Stollen in a Beautiful Gift Box.The Christmas cake known as Original Dresdner Reimann Stollen was first baked in Dresden, Germany, around 1450. Stollen is traditionally a dry, but flavorful, cake. This cake is handmade in Dresden, Germany, and affixed with a Seal of Quality from the Dresden Baker’s Guild. Best if eaten before March 18th, 2018. It's one of the richest of rich German cakes, made with fresh butter, eggs, raisins and candied fruit, and has become a cherished German Christmas tradition. This 26.4 ounce stolen serves 10-12 and comes in a beautiful decorative box. German pastries, such as stollen, are drier and less sweet than American- style cakes. To make your stollen more moist, simply toast lightly or warm in the microwave, and spread with soft butter. For a little added sweetness, sprinkle with extra powdered sugar (packet included) . Comes with storage bag that matches the box.

Dresden Stollen
This looked very good and sounded good in the description. It was usually a German baked good usually for holidays. I ordered this after the holiday so maybe thats why it was soooo dry. I should have sent it back, but it wasn't worth the price or should have asked for a refund or replacement but I didn't. It was a rich flavor with lots of raisins but again spoiled by how dry the cake portion was. If it was only carried for the holidays and this was an extra stock item it should have been discounted. I hope all of their products are not like this.
