I originally was set on getting a mirror with built in TFT display. I ordered one, but it did me a favor and didn't' work. I decided to buy this unit because it was nice and compact. Not only was it a 1/4 of the cost of the rear view mirror version, it doesn't add unnecessary stress to the mirror windshield mount.The screen is used along with my front facing bumper camera because I often find myself not parking forward enough in the parking stall. I hate hitting my bumper on the curb, so this helps me keep about 4" away and without sticking too far out.
