Not as soft as they used to be
I’ve given these to many babies in the past and I always liked them a lot but this one didn’t seem as soft as others have. Still cute gift for babies(just don’t use it in the tub - can take on water & cause black mold)

"That toy" you don't leave home without!
Cannot say enough about "Pie" Purchased this for my daughter when she was 4 months and she hasn't let it out of her sight and she is now 8 months. She enjoys chewing on Pie's face and feet the most. The little spots on the cheeks are raised so feel good on her gums. Has a soft squeak that she enjoys as well as the bobble head effect. I was concerned about the little "ears" coming off, but after 4 months of serious non stop use they are still firmly attached. Definitely worth every penny!

kinda like a squeaky dog toy
My daughter is 4 months and starting to teethe. While breastfeeding was the go-to teething strategy for my older 3 kids, I needed something to keep her happy in the car. Apparently it's now mandated by law that babies have a Sophie (everyone has one), but I liked the look of Chan better. But honestly, it looks and feels (and smells and sounds) just like a dog toy.My daughter likes Chan ok, when she can keep hold of it. What ends up happening is that one of the older kids keeps having to pick it up and help her open up her hands enough to grab it. Maybe in another month or two we'll have this hand thing figured out and then Chan will be more fun. For now I find the Comotomo silicone teether to be better all around - half the price, more fun to chew on, easier to hold, and no irritating squeek so we can take it to church.

Took a while to warm up.. but daughter loves it now!
I was excited to get a natural teether for my 11 month old. She only had 2 teeth when I ordered and now at 13 months has 5. When I first pulled it out of the box and started squeaking it she was scared! It is rather loud and we generally have a quiet house. It took her about 3 days before she really took to the Pie Gnon. Now she loves to squeak it and occasionally gnaws on it. Although she seems to gravitate towards things with sharper edges. (I'm thinking Sophie would probably be a bigger hit). One thing *I* can't stand about this toy is the smell of natural rubber. But it doesn't seem to bother my daughter. So I'm happy. Rating 4 stars because it is LOUD and smells gross!UPDATE: 17 months old and still loves this toy.

Baby's Favorite Toy! Worth the price.
Our daughter (6 months) has loved this toy from the minute she saw it. I gave it to her when she was 4 months and she instantly took to it. She loved her Sophie so much that we got her this too. There is something about these Vulli toys that babies just LOVE. The little round things on the head are her favorite part about this toy. She loved so suck and chew them. The size is perfect she can easily wrap her hand around Pie's neck. She loves to look at Pie's face (she does the same thing with Sophie--I think she likes the eyes)I know it seems like a lot to pay for a "glorified squeaky toy" but it is worth it!

Watch Out for Broken Nubs!
My baby loved chewing on this little toy’s “feet” and head nubs, but sadly, I would not buy it again. I noticed that at only 5 months old with no teeth yet, my baby had some how almost chewed off one of the two head nubs after playin with it for only a month. Now to be fair, I have no idea how old this toy was (I bought it much LESS than a year ago) or how long it may have sat in storage in poor conditions (extreme heat? Cold?). Parents and caretakers please remember to test and check all your baby items and toys. Like we need one more things to do, amirite?

Cute Chew Toy
I ordered Pie after hearing great things about Sophie the Giraffe--I thought this was a cute alternative (by the same makers) for my little girl. She does like Pie. He squeaks, he's easy to hold, and she likes to chew on him. She does prefer other things to chew as well, although, that may just be personal preference or where she is at in her development. But still, we like Pie. The only thing I don't love is that Pie tends to get fuzz and debris all over him. Especially because my daughter is constantly putting Pie in her mouth (which is the whole purpose), and he is wet. I feel like I need to constantly rinse him off, even from just falling onto our clean carpet. With all that said, I'd still give Pie 4 stars.

Cute toy
Found out about this toy when we were at a get together w/ a parent who had it for their 8 month old child. The "older" kids were fighting over it and seemed to be a good entertainment so decided to get one. My 10 month old daughter doesn't seem too interested in it even though it makes the squeaky noises; my 4 yr old seems to have more fun w/ it. I've grabbed this toy when we've been on the go and she seems to play w/ it then, but will forget about it otherwise. She hasn't put it in her mouth yet, but it is made out of natural rubber which may be nice for parents who are cognizant about that. For the price and my own experience, I probably wouldn't get another or get it as a gift.

great teether
my little one loved this. its a very soft rubber and doesnt hurt sensitive gums like a lot of the firmer teethers available. It does squeek though. I was asked on numerous occasions if i was allowing my baby to play with a dog toy. and it can get rather annoying after a while, but other than that, i know my baby loves it. I bought it when she was 3 months old and she's almost 11 months now and she still likes it. she's a late teether though and still only has 2 teeth. I imagine the softer material would eventually be torn by a full mouth of teeth

Great toy!
My 3 month old loves this toy! It squeaks, it's easy to grab, and the nubs on the head fit right into those little mouths. My only one concern might be the hole in the bottom letting water in, leaving the possibility of mould growth. Should be fine as long as it isn't submerged in water when washed.
