So this is simple, a sand timer. It does have a big problem. It's not 60 seconds... Iv timed it multiple times and I always get 57 seconds. I'm not good at math but I believe that is like 5% off the advertised time...I got this to time my speed solve a 3x3cube. So it does still help just have to turn faster to get under 57 seconds ..

05/05/19This product arrived on 05/03/19. When i opened the shipment envelope, pieces of plastic and sand poured out from the envelope and the contents revealed that the hourglass was broken up into pieces, just one end. I continued to check the second hourglass (I ordered 2) and this one showed a crack on the plastic just below the lid. I will try to return the package if it does not cost me more than the cost of the two hour glasses, it may not worth it. MP-A

Looks good and seems durable. Plastic cap (colorful pieces top and bottom) had to be glued on as they kept coming off but otherwise very sturdy. It's my kids teeth brushing time and it hurts the tile floor often.
