Inspiring, uplifting, and useful
Not only is this physical book absolutely gorgeous, the inside matches or even surpasses it. It's packed with wisdom, insight, and humility - and since it's written as a series of questions rather than an instruction manual, it ends up feeling therapeutic as you begin to ask yourself your own questions.

Well, if I can't return it I might as well pan it.
If you'e a fan of poorly written profiles of famous people, mixed in with a bunch of questions that can serve as journaling prompts then this book is for you!But you'd probably get more value out of googling "the Socratic Method" and then googling for a list of journaling prompts from the Stoic and/or Zen philosophical traditions and then setting aside time each day to entertain those questions and write down what bubbles up.This whole idea that the author has found away to make the Socratic Method, which has been successfully applied for thousands of years, more "accessible for modern readers," is mere hubris masquerading as original thinking.Wow...it's been awhile since I've written a negative review like this, but if it prevents one person from spending their money on this book then it will have been worth the effort. Go buy something from Ryan Holliday instead.

The packaging is what makes it pricey
The book itself is packed with info. Still takes self discipline to utilize the contents to the full extent. As with most things you get out what you put in. I found the book a little expensive. The packaging is beautiful but would rather it be just the book at a less expensive price point. I bought for the book not the packaging

So unique!
Wow, Marc has created a book you won’t be able to put down. We instantly added it to our Talent Champions Council Book Club! It’s that good.

thought-provoking, inspiring, eye-opening
If you are looking for inspiring prompts from the greatest speakers, performers and leaders - Personal Socrates is a must read. Each chapter gives you thought-provoking insights on how the greatest of the greatest are navigating through challenges by using questions. An eye-opening book about how powerful questions can be, when we dare to ask them.

Lots of gold to be mined in this book
(I bought this book elsewhere but wanted to review it here!). There are only a few books I leave out on our coffee table to snatch up when I have five minutes to read something when I need a boost of inspiration or motivation. This is the one I pick up the most. Marc’s personal story is interesting and relatable, and the interviews in the book really do contain some pearls of wisdom that you can internalize and revisit when you need a reminder that you should frequently do a check-in and ask yourself some good questions about where you have been, where you are, and where you are going. Great book for entrepreneurs, people looking to make it in the creator economy, or people just looking to improve their lives in some way and find more balance and happiness.

Disappointed
I made a commitment to read two professional development books per month. This book had mixed reviews, but I decided to give it a shot. The presentation of the book is very nice, but the interior content is just a summary of other peoples work. I was looking for development, but it only has recycled material.

Must-Have Book for Leaders
This is one of my all-time favorite books, and I've ordered so many extras to keep on hand to give out to family and friends as gifts. I truly believe that better questions get us better answers, and this book is filled with "better" questions. This book is an invaluable resource that everyone should have in their library. I've learned so much about myself through this book, more than years of coaching, therapy, etc. This book is truly life-shifting. I CANNOT RECOMMEND IT ENOUGH. If you are into personal development, personal growth, mental fitness, just understanding yourself better, you're a high-achiever, etc. this is for you!!!

Excelentes reflexiones
Pense que hablaría sobre Socrates y su metodología, pero trata mas bien de reseñas de personas que utilizan un método socrático en su vidaLo que mas me ha encantado es la calidad del producto, es fenomenal tenerlo en las manos

this is one of the *best* books I've read in a long time, highly recommend
I read a lot of personal growth books and this really stands out. Definitely going to keep this close by to revisit. After reading it, it's obvious that the author has put his heart and soul and years of knowledge into the book and it's paid off in a big way

A purchase that will make you richer
I highly recommend this book. It was enlightening and empowering in a practical way (with tips, journaling exercises), short chapters allow you to read one every morning to set the mood of your day, and each profile is not only useful with the final message but also super interesting in terms of facts and what these people did in their lives. Also great to complement some of those profiles with the podcast episode of Behind the Human. Loved it!

An Inspiring Read
This book inspires us to look deeper, question our automatic responses and strive to make our lives more fulfilling and joyful just by answering the right questions. We do not need to accept the normal.
