Comes in a box loose no bag but my chickens enjoyed it so it's good

I've seen a difference in the thickness of the shell on the eggs.

These did actually start helping my ducks to have more formed eggs when laid. It took about 1-2 weeks to start seeing good results with me putting fistful of shells mixed in their pellets. The only problem is the size of the shells. They appear bigger than advertised and are about half the size of a penny

The pieces are small rocks , for hens they like smaller crushed pieces . I crushed them up and they work well . Huge string eggs shells

Our chickens didn't love it... but they didn't hate it. They'd peck at it but never ate it all completely. So you could say they could take it or leave it.Would I reorder? No but your chicks might like this better than ours

One family member has chickens, pampered chickens. They only feed the best ingredients and, as a result, have healthy animals and good quality eggs. These oyster shell pieces are much smaller than the normal brand I get at my local pet store. I just wanted to note it in my review the difference in size but I'm not sure it makes a ton of difference as the chickens don't seem to notice. I add oyster shells in a separate feeder so that the chickens can eat it as needed. It is hard to say if there has a been a huge difference in the hardness of their shells since this time of year they are only laying one every other day and their shells seem to be thicker regardless of calcium supplements.
