Worked as expected in a windows 10 pro system
Dropped it into a EVGA Dark x299 PC running win10 pro. It was detected and SATA driver installed automatically. I have 5 HDDs connected to it, and everything is running fine, so far. (it has been up about 24 hrs.) I have not checked R/W performance as that isn't important to my application.

does not play well with Windows 10. avoid it.
Prevents windows from booting, It could be the mobo, but I doubt it, since another card works just fine.

EZPZ in Raspberry Pi CM4 IO Board
Works flawlessly in the Raspberry Pi CM4 IO Board without any extra hassle. Plugged the thing in, slapped some hard drives on the bad boy and it started basically configured itself when I flashed OpenMediaVault v5

Hit or Miss product.. Mine was a miss.
This is a review for the unit i received. It was detected immediately without driver installation in windows10. I later installed the included drivers due to the card not actually working.Pros----------Cons1) Out of 8 ports only one worked2) Hot Plug does not work. I tried it at least 30 times using the one working port.

Garbage, dead on arrival
Card wasn't even recognized by my PC, regardless of PCIe slot used. Spent a few hours troubleshooting with zero success. Instead I bought a similar card made by IOCrest from MicroCenter and THAT card worked immediately and perfectly. Amazon is getting really good at selling trash.

Excellent for what it does more SATA PORTS!
let me start this I have a huge case with 5 Disk Drives with 8 HDD's. But my Gigabyte motherboard only has 6 ports and they are hard to reach behind a Nvidia GeForce GTX Titan X Black SC. But I do have more PCIe-X16 and PCIe-X4 ports available. So This card checked all that and I have my boot drive plugged in with the 5 disk drives plugged directly into the motherboard with my 7 HDD's plugged into this card and still have a slot to spare and it's excellent. The quality on the ports are better than some of my no name hard drive's ports10/10 would buy again but I'd need a wall sized computer for that.

Seamless integration
I have several smaller sized hard drives but no space ton install them. This card and accompanying cables made it as easy as pie to do. Piece of cake installation and functions without a problem. Highly recommend for anyone needing to expand their HDD storage capacity.

Works perfectly.
Did not need to use the included drivers. Windows 11 instantly saw the drives perfectly. The card provides the same speed and throughput that the motherboard does. Totally transparent regarding the way that my system sees the drives.

Did not work what-so-ever
This SATA expansion card did not work at all, in fact it didn't pick up any of the drives plugged into it, when the drives read perfectly fine when i switched them back to the mobo SATA ports. DO NOT BUY.Buy a LSI PCI-E expansion card and a SFF to SATA cable instead when using TrueNAS/unRAID instead.

False advertising once again...
Uses an ASMedia chip, not Marvell ...

Extremely easy to use
The last time I set up anything like this it was a driver nightmare. This one was natively supported by Ubuntu 20.04 and required zero extra setup.

Did what it was suppose to do.
Worked right out of the box like a charm.
