Great book with good activities and instructions for the kiddos
Great book with good activities and instructions for the kiddos. Only challenge is me getting my hands on all the supplies and realistically doing one of these every day with our busy schedule. Thankfully we can always extend it beyond Christmas.

Not helpful for teachers of steam. Too basic

The activities are fun, but some of them you have to find it on the internet for more specifics. Example: Circuit tree. And yes there is a list of items needed. But not specific enough. Also, I would of liked the STEAM reason behind it. The more I think about it. This was a waste of $22. I could've found it on PINTEREST for free and with more detail.

Wonderful collection of quality STEAM activities.
I purchased the eBook version of STEAM Kids to use with my daughter. We already have the regular book and love it!In past years I've spent hours scouring for quality activities to add to our countdown-to-Christmas, and this year I just have to look through this book! There is a great variety of activities, and I'm glad to see Art included too. It's laid out well, in an easy-to-read manner with material lists, why an activity is STEAM based, quality photos, activity instructions as well as questions for adults to ask during the process as well as ways to extend the activities. Very handy and easy to use!It is also very worth mentioning that though this is marketed as a Christmas book there are very few Christmas-specific activities included. Most can be used any time during the winter, or even year-round. As well they are all presented as gender-neutral, and with a STEAM-loving daughter I thank you for that!

Wonderful Holiday and Everyday Ideas!
I love these STEAM KIDS books! As a librarian I am always on the lookout for things to share with my classroom teachers. These have very clear directions, photographs and an early indicator of difficulty. Plus the end results all look really cool! (I am currently trying to convince our science teacher to made mud bricks in ice trays so I can partner with stories and information on pyramids, sod houses, and other elemental building materials! :) Notice she gets the messy part!) I am also tossing ideas to our art teacher! I love the snowflakes and light blocks!
