super fun to play around with
Just realizing I’ve reviewed a different faux tattoo using my pics of the ones we did with this particular kit… but they all have worked exactly the same, and all been a big hit.As advertised, these go on the same way as other old school fake tattoos- press the tattoo design side down wherever you want it, wet the back, hold it steady for 30 seconds and then toss the used wet tattoo paper in the trash can. What’s different about these newfangled ones is that rather than just sitting on your skin like a very sticky, thin, plastic or almost gelatin-like sticker, these are made of some kind of slow release ink. This results in something that looks less like a shiny plastic looking sticker that wrinkles and crepes with your skin over the next few days and more like an actual tattoo. The ink is a normal black color and not shiny, as it has already seeped into your skin a bit and there’s no residue left over. It does take several hours to a day to fully get its ending level of darkness but as long as you have a small amount of planning, it works out perfectly and is a lot of fun. Tattoos on the hands lasted noticeably less days due to all the turnover with frequent washing… I would say about four days on the hands and about a week on our upper arms.Great for playing around or even to get a rough idea of what an actual tattoo might look like if placed in a certain area, before taking the plunge.

Not like a real tattoo
The instructions say it darkens but mine is so faint and never got darker! I followed directions and tried them 3 times and had the same issue. It looks like faded henna. Super disappointed.

Tattoos as advertised
As advertised, these are semi-permanent, but they don't last all that much longer than the cheaper, colorful decal type tattoos. Yes, they work, but I would just as well purchase the color fake tattoo's, you get a lot more designs and a LOT more tattoos for your money. Basically, these are not worth the expense.

I couldn’t get them to stick
Not sure if these come from the website itself, but the tattoos I tried just didn’t stick or they wouldn’t be how they said they would be on come off right away as well. I’ll be willing to try them out again in the summer, but I will most likely go through their direct site

Medium Lasting
It says long lasting 1-2 weeks. It lasted about a week exactly. BUT, I was super impressed with the pigmentation. It looked so real my sister in law thought I got it without telling her. Love it.

Supposed to look like an actual tattoo (I thought)
The instructions say to remove a film on the back of the tattoo, no matter what I did I could not figure out or see or feel a film backing, I thought maybe it was talking about the packaging film which basically fell off.I went ahead and followed instructions but the result looks like a pencil drawing, it never got dark.(it's been two days)Advice?
