Barefoot Books Bear in Sunshine

19 month old loves it! Just ordered this and ‘bear about town’ and ‘bear on bike.’ She’s drawn to the colorful images and fun story.This book is a nice way to introduce children to the weather. I also liked the page with bear’s room . You can go back to the earlier pages to find the items from his room (red kite, ball, sail boat, pink umbrella, ice skates, art easel, blue blanket).

This is likely the best children's book we have in our collection (which is quite expansive). As a parent one can find themselves reading a book hundreds of time at bedtime. Although at first I wasn't crazy about reading it everyday, I realized there were other aspects to the book I could talk about to my child. The illustrations are beautiful, there are various animals represented in multiples so we can often count how many fish we see, what color they are. How many bumble bees we see and so forth. I like that this book isn't limited to just it's storyline. It is now part of my baby shower gift package for other parents.

The preferred choice of books for our nearly 2 year old! The colors are great, good story, and the books are sturdy. His favorites are Bear About Town, and Bears Busy Family. But he does like all the series and is beginning to read because of them we believe. Our 5 year old who began reading at 2, reads these to our youngest as well and he still enjoys. Any Bear series is recommended by us.

My 2.5 year old boy loves the Bear books! All of them have such great illustrations with lots of things going on. It has been a favorite for at least a year and he still finds new things to notice. This one has been great for learning about the weather and the seasons.

We love Bear Books! Such a fun series for the four and under crew.

My daughter already has this book memorized and is just 26 months old! She has loved it for over a year now.It has great pictures, rhyme scheme and integration of concepts with the pictures. Everyone in my family is a primary grade school teacher at some level and they all LOVE this book for kids!All of the Barefoot books are high quality!!

My 3 year old has had these since birth, and loves them and recites them all. Good stories usually rhyming and beautiful illustration.
