What an Excellent Book
It Just Couldn't Happen has been updated since I purchased the original one many years ago and this one is just as good, if not better than the original. It is the perfect book for introducing youth to the reality that there is a non-created creator of everything, one who has always existed and always will and it was his 'hand' that created our vast universe. GREAT book.

Excellent - for your child
This is an excellent "apologetics" book for children. Nature speaks of the glory of God. When you look at "design" in creation, you have to know that there was a very intelligent being behind this universe. From the woodpecker who has unusual feet that keep him from falling when as he does his "pecking". to the little organism that does not survive outside of the body - so how could a this more simple organism come before humans... Children begin to realize that there is a God who created and who loves us.

So important!!!
With an education system hell bent on stripping truth from our children's curriculum - having resources like this is invaluable!!!! It is SOOOO refreshing to be able to give my kiddos books that share God's truth!! Thank you!

Great book!
A lot of thought provoking facts and thoughts about God's world. When you are talking to an atheist or someone who sees no evidence of God then you have some responses to make them think about what they see everyday. How can you not believe in God when you look around you or in the mirror?

Very helpful resource answering questions about evidence for Creation.
This is a more updated version of the same book from 1987. It's well written with lots of pictures and covers many topics. I'll be using it for teaching homeschool Science and Bible.

Amazing for learning new things!!!
So this year I was going to a school called Classical Conversations, and through the whole year they had us read a chapter a week. At first I thought it was going to be boring but half way through the first chapter I learned so much from it, you learn about many different subjects. At the end of the school year I was so surprised at how much I had learned from that book. I would recommend this book to anyone old or young.

The design of life requires a brilliant Designer and a a powerfull Creator. ICJH
This book is very well written for teenagers. It takes you step by step, in a very logical way, to understand why life could not just happen without the deep envolment of the God of te Bible, the Designer and the Creator of everything. Also, that there are so many gaps in the evolution theory that you need more faith to believe in it than to believe in the excistence of our Suprem God.

Fabulous book of facts to contrast evolution
I've really enjoyed this book. There are so many fascinating facts about our natural world that really get you thinking. Take for example, the wood pecker. This is a totally unique bird. It is the only bird to have a sponge pad between its beak and its head which absorbs the impact of striking a tree. In other birds, the skull and the beak are fused together. Woodpeckers also have two toes pointing forwards and two toes pointing backwards to enable them to cling onto trees. They have amazing tongues too. The woodpeckers tongue is not attached to the back of the mouth like other birds tongues, but circles around inside the skull to attach to the top of the woodpeckers head! Without the spongy pad, the birds couldn't peck for six hours a day, without their strange feet, they couldn't cling onto trees to feed and without their special tongue, they couldn't reach into insect tunnels to feed. Without this unique design, they wouldn't survive! The theory of evolution would have required each of these qualities to have happened by accident and developed by chance at the same time!

Total dross !
This is, of course, blatant creationist or fundamentalist propaganda, written by an ignoramus (as far as science is concerned). A ridiculous book that tries to poke holes in the theory of evolution. It is a last-gasp attempt to hang on to obsolete, irrational beliefs. Because the author can't provide any actual evidence, he resorts to rather pathetic attempts using Bible quotations. This would not be so worrying except that it is directed at gullible primary level children. The problem is that the book offers NO EVIDENCE FOR INTELLIGENT DESIGN. It only attacks (and poorly and that) evidence for evolution, assuming that intelligent design [ID] is the default position. Of course it is not. [ID] is a feeble last-defence by the diehards who have already found themselves painted into an untenable corner. That's the reason why you won't find this type of book outside of the reactionary Bible belt of the USA.Lawrence O Richards is an "evolution denier". He is a bogeyman propagandist of the Christian fundamentalist indoctrinators, a small minority who are trying desperately to counter-attack against prevailing scientific acknowledgement of Evolution Theory. These people are (I think) dishonestly trying to propagandize and defend what is now, in 2014, scientifically indefensible. This is Custer's Last Stand. In thousands of southern USA schools and colleges the teachers try to teach maths and physics by saying that it all stemmed from "God" which is nonsensical (and a lie, in fact). None of this type of weird slant would ever be permitted or acceptable in European education, although it probably was prevalent before the 1860's.The arguments for I.D. (intelligent design) are feeble, and bring no reasoned evidence to bear, other than peculiar and unconvincing quotes from the Bible. I think few rational people today could take such a book seriously....but this does not seem to prevent the diehards like Richards.Page 14: He says "There is evidence (of God)".. Where? Certainly not here in this book. Yes: accidental evolution can and does happen. As they say in the movies, we just need to "deal with it!".
