This is a book that has the detailed experiences of Saint Gertrude The Great with our Lord during her life time! How could you not want to know what was said and benefit from it?? I am very grateful to have it.

Yes this is a good read. I would recommend this book. Any reading that enriches you with saintly people gives you models to lead a better life.

I love learning the history of the Catholic church but find the mystics sometimes hard to understand.

I bought this book as a part of my Master's thesis research and ended up becoming fascinated with Gertrude. She has been much discussed and continues to be so in a variety of fields. I recommend this translation to anyone interested in medieval mysticism and medieval women.
