Custom Universal BMW Mini Shift knob Shifter Adapter (Black)

Works well on my 2005 Mini Cooper S R53. It's initially a little loose when sliding it over the shifter, but after you tighten the 3 set screws, it feels solid. Just as a heads up, this piece doesn't come with a wrench or bit for the set screws, so make sure you have an M2.5 hex bit or allen wrench to tighten them in.I feel it goes without saying that the set screws will dig into your shifter a bit, so be prepared to make that sacrifice when mounting this to your car. After it's tightened, it's on there good. If you're pulling upward pretty hard or trying to rev your shifter like a stuck motorcycle throttle, I can't guarantee that it won't move a bit, but it hasn't moved at all for me. I was able to mount this adapter to my shifter and screw on a ~1.5lb steel shift knob tight without it twisting and digging into the shifter, so I'm happy with it.Not an ideal solution compared to a properly threaded shifter, but it looks great (to me, because it compliments my shift knob), and it does what it's supposed to.

This matched perfect for my 2002 r53 Mini Cooper. Pulled the old one off and then tighten this one on. Has three set screws that get really tight. This let me screw the new gear shifter on to something threaded. Great quality metal (not plastic like some I have seen). Really worked perfect for the Mini.

The threads on the body stripped right away. The screws will not hold up to use but if you tighten the screws more then they will strip. Does not work.

Finish is nice and fits well. I just wish it came with an Allen key for the set screws as they seem to be an odd size. I ended up using an old t15 and some threadlock to get them to stay in place

The set screws keep loosening causing the shift knob to rattle around and/or lift off the shifter. I have had to retighten mine so often in only 3 days that the screws are now stripped. Otherwise, the machining and threads are very good and feels like a nice enough piece.

Comes Loose over time and isn’t very deep. Works as advertised.

I love this adapter, I used this adapter on my 97 BMW z3 so I could fit it with a Kei Project pokeball shift knob. The screws that came with the adapter are very small and a little soft, but if you screw them in evenly you should not have to worry about the adapter coming loose. I also put some threadlocker on the screws to help them stay in place against the vibration from the car. Overall, it is a great product.

Over all, it for the shifter & my shift knob, but it did not come with a tool to tighten the screws. When I finally found a Allen key that fit, no matter how tight I turn them, they don't stay screwed & 2/3 screws wound up falling out & getting lost.

works as advertised. so far so good.i stabbed a stud into my ford ranger shifter(rod?) with epoxy. Then i mounted this to a knob i bought.its about 14mm inside diameter.

Easy to use and fit great.
