KD Frames Twin Trundle, Natural Wood

This is such a great trundle! I love that it is made here in the States, and that it is made of wood. It came and was very heavy to lift, but my son (7), daughter (9), and I managed to get it inside the doorframe and unpack it there. It took maybe 15 minutes to put together. The pieces fit in really well and it is very solid! I was afraid that it might not roll on our carpet (we have thicker carpet), but it rolls really well, even after putting the mattress on it. Overall, a great product! Very smooth wood (not uneven for splinters or anything like that). It's super simple to put together, sturdy, beautiful, and just overall really good quality!

I bought this trundle bed to go with the nomad platform bed. It is perfect for my needs. I could have just kept pushing my sons small mattress under the bed but it is nice to have it off the ground. My sons mattress fits perfectly on it. His mattress is 72 inches long, 36 inches wide and 8 inches tall. It’s a small Serta mattress from Costco. I decided not to put the wheels on the bed frame. The floor in our bedroom is vinyl wood flooring and things slide easily on it. So instead of wheels I used the stick on felt padding you can buy in hardware stores to keep furniture from scratching the floors. It pulls out nicely with a small tug and won’t roll around on him at night. I think we would have still been able to fit the frame under the bed with the wheels. They only would have added about half an inch. However it fits pretty perfect as is with no wheels, and he won’t be sliding around at night. I can see the wheels being useful if you have a carpet floor but there is no lock on them. It is best to put this together in the room you intend to use it in because only 2 slats secure down. The wood is nice and frame solid . Very easy to put together.

Fast delivery, solid beautiful product! Assembled in under one hour. All parts there and fit together easily, plus excellent instructions. Fits perfectly under bunk bed; just awaiting mattress. Rolls very smoothly.

I am so happy with KD Frames. I purchased a queen frame (Lexington), the trundle, and the drawers. Regrettably, the drawers didn’t work for my space so I had to return them. The return process was so simple. The frame and the trundle are perfect (I bought a 6inch twin mattress for the trundle, could probably have gone for 8 inch, since I still have clearance. Note: on KD’s website you can actually order taller foots for the bed frame that will accommodate even more clearance.).The bed is simply and flawlessly designed, super easy to put together. (A power drill with a Phillips head and a #25 torque bit for the hex screws will speed things up, but you don’t need it.). The wood in its natural state is very nice. I’ve been looking for something simple like this for some time that was high quality and not of the IKEA ilk.I saw one review that the bed creaked. As the wood dries, it will creak, but that’s easily fixed with a little tightening of screws once the frame settles.I don’t think I’ve ever written a review on Amazon before now, that’s how pleased I am with this product, service, quality, and price.

Previously bought the twin xl bed and have had my eye on this twin trundle for my under bed storage and later a spare bed for when my nieces sleep over. Super easy to assemble. Good quality material. I’m plus sized and both frames hold up great. Easily worth the price.
