This elegant bowl measures 11" tall and 8" wide. This large vessel has so much character and The wood came from the San Buenaventura State Beach Park. We had a winter storm blow in and it took down this tree. And oh how good it smelled while I was turning. As shown in the pictures this wood does have stress cracks, these do not affect the vessel and just add to the charm and grace of this bowl. I use woods that began life as a tree in the wild, please be aware that there may be natural irregularities in any wood. These come in various forms: worm holes, voids, odd growth patterns, spalting, knot holes, checks or surface cracks, bark inclusions, etc. As long as they do not affect the strength or integrity of the wood, I consider them to be a desirable part of the finished piece. They are the source of the piece's character. Please care for your bowl by wiping clean with dry or damp cloth and dry immediately, do not immerse in water. Not for use in dishwasher or microwave.
