Great for a low-cost hidden camera!
As an alarm clock, this thing sucks badly! the only alarm to it is a low-level sound of crickets chirping which can't even be heard over the sound of the water flow in my aquariums. It constantly flashes the time, then the date, then some code, LoC (see picture.)In the picture, this device is taped down with duck tape. It has nothing to do with the functioning of the device. The clock is so light that it has a tendency to move due to the weight of the wire and I need it set to view a certain area of my room.I love having the camera. I only paid $9 at the time and it was the best price I found on any hidden camera device at the time. The camera is supposed to record only when it senses motion, but it records continuously and I can't find English instructions translated well enough to tell me how to change the setting. In order to use it I have to keep the battery out or it gets very, very hot! Not a good thing for LiOn or NiCad batteries.I don't know how it does it, but I connected it to my home network and my iPhone can see the room live, even when I am miles away or driving! That was a big surprise for me.It has a night mode, so even if all the lights are out, you can see what's happening in the room. But, since I can't use the battery and there is a light on in my room 24/7 I'll never use that feature.I am only giving the device a 2 star rating because, as an alarm clock it sucks. It loses about 3 minutes a week and has to be manually set on the clock and not through the software that controls the camera. It rotates it's time, date, and whatever that LoC code is. It would be better if it were just showing the time.

Seams like a real clock
I was expecting more for the price. There are cheaper clocks that would have probably done the same. The picture quality is not real sharp but it does the truck. Also took a while to find a can connection then connect to my router to live stream. The sound on live stream is muffled. However for under 100 bucks...its ok. Seams like a real clock. Small amd compact...the date and degree thing constantly flashing is annoying

Good for kid's room (I think)
I put this in my kid's room (8 years old). It acts as an alarm for him. For me, I just use to make sure that he goes to bed as the lights are out. He doesn't know it's a 'camera' and I don't intend for him to find out. My husband and I also use this to make sure that we can ensure his safety (alarm can be set if there is movement) at night as well. The picture quality with light is good but a bit fuzzy in the dark. Sound is clear. Used for a week so far.

Never worked.
I couldn't get it to work. It would never create a hotspot link. I tried for almost a week, resetting it time and time and time again. I'm returning the product and getting something else. The instructions for use were clear as mud.

Great picture but.....
Okay not sure if this is a defect but the clock stops working gets stuck on one random number pic quaility great hence the 4 stars but Again the constant moving from time to date to degree yeah that's a flaw
