Great intro level DSLR
This camera is a full featured entry level DSLR - if you are a seasoned pro you'll want to go with one of the pricier models, but if you are new to DSLR cameras and are looking to step up from a point and shoot camera to something much more powerful, this is a fine first step. This camera gives you full control over most parameters of your photography, but includes a broad spectrum of presets and automation as well that lets you work your way up to using all the manual tools - if you are a beginner, this camera will carry you for a few years before you begin chafing for something a bit more substantial! The camera body is light and solidly built - all the controls are accessible via buttons on the exterior of the camera as well as through an easily navigable menu. The view screen is generous and bright, easily readable in most settings. The camera also offers a viewfinder which is very helpful when shooting in high glare settings (or when you forget to bring your glasses with you!) The included lenses cover a good range of distances, but you may want to invest in a wide angle lens - a good 12-20mm for getting more into your images (although most of the better ones out there will actually cost more than your camera did). The 75-300mm zoom lens will get you in close to many subjects, but don't expect it to compete with some of those 80x zooms you see on point and shoot cameras! Changing out lenses is easy and fast. There are ample settings for one shot, continuous shot, and timed delay shooting, so if you are shooting an active event you can get some great movement shots, and if you want to get into the picture yourself, its easy to do. When shooting in continuous mode, the camera will pause after five shots to let the data catch up - I've found that three shots is the gets keeps me from getting that delay. Both of these lenses shoot a little on the slow side. There is a slight hesitation after pressing the shutter release. I've also noticed that although the 18-55mm kit lens is equipped with an anti-shake feature, it really doesn't do much. So - consider using a tripod! The picture quality is excellent - I always shoot in RAW and this camera offers six RAW quality settings and the same for JPEG. Or you can choose to shoot both simultaneously if you don't know a lot about the formats and want to learn. Its great to have both formats to do side by side comparisons. This camera does not have an infrared sensor, so if you wish to use a remote, you'll have to use the Canon Camera Connect mobile app - it is available for both IOS and Android devices (sadly not for Windows 10 mobile devices though!). In addition to letting you control your camera remotely, the mobile apps also let you view the pictures on your camera on the bigger screens of your smartphone (I use my iPad - and its great to see a real time image for composition on that screen - believe me!) The app is pretty easy to use and so far I've found it to be stable and reliable, although more so on my iPad than on my Android phone. This camera is also capable of shooting HD movies and that is a terrific feature - but keep in mind, you'll have to master your lenses in order to stay in focus and do efficient zooms and pans. Overall this is a great camera. Canon lenses can be used on all their DSLR's, so when you are ready to upgrade to a more professional camera back, you'll be able to keep your lens kit and accessories.

Perfect for beginners, get a different tripod tho
I love this camera!my first experience with DSLR cameras was the Canon EOS 60D and every shot was emaculate. This isn't that great but its close enough without paying 1300 dollars plus extras. I'm still trying to figure out, as it's been awhile since I've had time with a DSLR, the right settings and some of my pictures are coming out over exposed but other than that the camera itself is great. It doesn't have the flip out screen or the scroll wheel like on the EOS 60D like I like but it's good enough for now. The accessories, however many of them, aren't all that great. Some of the extras like the tripod and the big flash feel very cheap and others like the lens attachments feel very good. It came with an third party extra battery that was fully precharged!!! The Canon battery that came with the camera was not fully charged. The Macro lens has 2 pieces that can be separated. The flash is not the one in the picture, it's a taller one with a very cheap feeling plastic hinge and full plastic body, 4 AA batteries for which were not included with sucks. The pictures on Amazon make it seem like it comes with 2 different lenses but it only came with one, don't know it just supposed to be one or 2 but the picture clearly has the camera with a lens attached a the lens by itself so that's a bit misleading. Has a wall and car charger, that's handy for charging on the go in-between shoots. It connects to my phone to view pictures and videos and can be used as a remote to take take group photos including the camera man. It connects to printers too, haven't tried it yet but will when the Canon printer I ordered with it arrives... finally. It connects via WiFi not Bluetooth in a way I didn't think it would. Instead of connecting the camera to your WiFi network and connecting your phone to the same network, similarly to how you connect your phone to and Xbox One using the Xbox app, you turn on wifi on the camera and connect your phone to the cameras wifi network. You can't use it to surf the web or anything like that but it does allow your phone to view the current gallery, save and take pictures as a remote all through the Canon connect app. Pretty cool you can connect it other cameras and computers as well wirelessly, I imagine using the same process. All around great but minus the tripod and flash but everything else is solid. 9/10🤙🏽

The best
The camera is amazing .. and what is even better is all the acessories that comes with the camera, it is all that you need to start shooting or recording.I love it and I higher recommend this one.One thing I would recommend though.. is including something to clean the lens. The last 3 times I went out to take some shooting started raining and I had these raindrops on my lens.

Great camera but horrible accessories.
The camera is amazing. The accessories how ever are a different story. They are horrible, they are very cheaply made. I should have just bought the camera and paid extra for quality accessories.

starter set
Great first camera to run around town with. The accessories are interesting, but would appreciate some more info on the individual filters in the multipacks. Each piece is labelled so I can find everything in the net so no big deal. Considering it normally cost $400 fit the camera without any sense at all, really good value for your money I'm this pack
