changed the size
Mizuno Waverider was my goto running shoe. I bought this pair as a casual shoe and to my dismay, they lengthened the shoe in this new version, 25. I've always worn size 13, so I tried size 12.5 and they were too narrow. Then I tried size 12.5 wide and the toe box was too small. So I pulled the 13's out of the trash and have ordered some heel inserts. Needless to say, I'm dubious that I'll replace my current running shoes, version 24, with these. All good things must come to an end. Back to Asics gel nimbus?

Small with No Arch Support
I wear a 12 wide and had never tried Mizuno shoes before but this was recommended as a good option for heavier runners who need some arch support and want a neutral shoe. When it arrived, it was too small in every dimension and there was no arch support whatsoever. The footbed felt completely flat. They're good looking and very popular shoes, but they did not work for me at all.

Great shoes, better than the Wave Rider 23's IMO
I don't get the bad reviews on this shoe, I think they're excellent. I bought these and an Adidas Ultraboost 21 to compare and see which one I wanted, and I ended up returning the Ultraboosts. I actually preferred the cushioning on the Wave Riders even though the Ultraboosts are considered the more cushioned shoe. It's a plush feel, but not overly so to where it feels like you're sinking in. Fit and price were better than the Ultraboosts too.The last wave riders I had were the Wave Rider 23, and I much prefer these. It definitely feels more cushioned in the heel than the 23 did and I'm pretty sure there is more stack height on the 25 just going from memory before I retired my 23's. They are also extremely light for how cushioned the ride is. They're a great all around shoe, which is exactly what I was looking for.The only negative on these are the looks in my opinion. I think the Wave Rider 23 waveknits I had looked much better. These are just kind of a bland looking shoe, no frills. Very traditional looking. The only advantage the Ultraboosts had was that they looked better, but I wanted a dedicated running shoe and don't particularly care how they look. These are a great option if you're looking for cushioned shoe that you could use on any run.

Heel separation
Really disappointed with Mizunos. Back in the day, when I was a young runner, I loved the Wave. I walk now because at 68, the knees don't work the same. I thought Mizunos would be great for my daily walks. This is my second pair in the last year and both have had the same thing happen - in a very short time, the padding in the heel separated and of course, resulted in blisters. I don't know if my shoes were made on Fridays and everyone in the shop was in a hurry to get home, or if this is normal now for Mizuno shoes. I can wear them with jeans but as far as walking (or running if you're inclined and able)? Not a chance.

Not as Good as their Wave Rider 22
I found these shoes to be slightly smaller then before, and their was a lot less cushion and bounce in the soles then in their Wave Rider 22. It felt like the shoe was cheapened in its architecture. I would have wished they had increased the quality rather the decrease it. My suggestion, if you find a pair of shoes they are near perfect in fit and quality, buy two. I wish i had.

They changed the shoe!
Mizuni why? For well over a decade I have been wearing wave riders. The 25s are terrible. They made the materiel over the toe a dense thick wall that does not budge. It makes the show feel smaller and just an hour wearing them casually I was in pain. It's an awful terrible redesign.I am returning them. I just ordered a pair of wave rider 24s. I'm returning the 25s and it looks like I have to find a new brand of shoe over well over a decade with mizuno. I don't understand why this new design was introduced. It's a brutal running show. Sad.

Shoe has really different feel compared to Wave Rider 23
Show has a more narrow feel. Tighter and not in a good way. Feels completely different from version 23. If the previous versions felt a little loose you might like the 25 series. However, if you have wider, flatter feet, this might not be a good fit. I'm referring only to standard (D) sizes. We never buy the wide versions. There also is an elastic liner component that appears to serve no real purpose other than the product marketing team thought it might be cool to have. Mizuno's are my favorite shoes on the field and while training but I'm not loving the 25 series of the Wave Riders.

Amazing shoes - consistent value
I have used three pairs of wave rider 25s this year, all of them have had a perfect balance between weight and cushioning. I feel like I am running on clouds and keep breaking all my records for 5 km and 10 km with these shoes.
