Sleek to the body
Good weight, good steel, looking at purchasing the 10'' model in the near future.

Actually Smaller than I Imagined
I've recently purchased both the Pentagon FX and the Pentagon FX Covert. My initial thinking was that this was a medium size knife, whoever it is smaller than my initial thinking. Overall both are great products from SOG however I highly recommend the regular size if you are going to spend the money. This is a great EDC very comfortable and balanced.

Don't Buy. So Disappointing in So Many Ways
The sheath is utterly atrocious.1) The sheath is so ridiculously tight that it's nearly impossible to push the knife in or pull the knife out without tremendous force. Despite the marketing, the sheath's retention / tightness is not adjustable - that's only true of the larger model but not this one.2) The belt / boot clip falls off of the sheath. The screws used to secure it are narrower than the belt clip's holes, meaning the clip can just slip over the screws and fall off of the sheath entirely (which it did). Imagine that happening in a life-or-death moment. You're dead.3) The clip is terrible. It's really hard to put onto a belt and just as hard to take off of a belt. It can't be canted or angled for appendix or centerline carry. It's wide enough for a 1.75" belt meaning it's too loose on a standard 1.5" belt for horizontal, along-the-belt, or scout carry.4) The sheath has aesthetic problems. Its color is mismatched with the knife handle's. The sheath is so tight that it rubs away the blade's black coating, making me question the quality and durability of the knife's finish. A poor finish means the knife will rust, especially in humid environments. And you should expect better aesthetics at this price point.Solution: Send this knife to Armatus Carry to get a great custom sheath. But that'll probably cost you an additional $50-ish on top of the $130-$200 you already spent on this knife. The knife itself is ok, though it could be sharper. The finger guard should be slightly wider (and / or the finger choils narrower) to prevent your hand from slipping onto the blade during during a thrust... which is specifically what this knife is designed for: thrusting.Overall, this is an absolute ripoff of a knife for this price point. For $50 you might be able to ignore the issues. For $100+ you wouldn't buy this. For nearly $200 MSRP you know SOG is out of its mind.So what should you do?If you have too much money and need to get rid of it, buy this knife and then buy an additional Armatus Carry custom kydex sheath to go with it. That'll probably fix most of its issues, but at a steep price. If you actually value your money, consider the Cold Steel Counter Tac II, Hide Out, or Mini Leatherneck Double Edge Spear Point instead. They're all similar designs under $35 with better (but not perfect) sheathes.

Not worth the cost.
I really wanted to like this dagger, because it's really good looking. I own others from Applegate Fairbairn, Tops, Gerber, Boker...all of which are superior to this one. Maybe it's a qc issue, but for a dagger, this particular one is as dull as a round rock. The point is sharp, but penetration after initial entry would suffer.

Very disappointed for the price I paid i expected much more
the knife itself is nice except for the sharpness. It has a rough ground edge. it will take me many hours of re-sharpening to get it up to what you would expect for a knife of this price. The biggest disappointment is the scabbard. it is made of (2) pieces of injection molded plastic, the upper half smooth and free of molding burrs. HOWEVER, the lower half was NEVER cleaned up leaving sharp edges of plastic that I had to sand off to avoid getting cut or scratched. The biggest issue was the knife retention. the scabbard has (2) small "Tabs" that lock the knife in place. These were filled with overflowing plastic from the molding process. Just like the exterior. I managed to clean it out using an X-Acto knife without taking the scabbard apart. Which I considered. Mismatched Colors - Knife handle is significantly lighter in color than the scabbard.BOTTOM LINE - Don't buy it unless you are experienced enough to remedy these issues. Certainly not what you should expect from this brand or price

It’s a good knife
The knife is very nice good steal and from a company that has been all of the scale for quality cmp s35vn is a good choice for a dagger the knife isn’t meant for camp use it’s a fighting knife the grind on one end is larger the the other side which I believe is intended for cutting more with one side of the knife while both sides have a fine edge one feels sharper to me all in all an amazing knife and will be my new carry for the near future

Wanted to love this knife - so disappointed.
The concept of this knife is terrific, but the execution was sloppy. Unfortunately, that's the bottom line with this one. I ended up returning this knife for a refund, and I will tell you exactly why: (1) uneven grind and an unacceptable factory edge; and (2) the sheath simply would not hold the blade securely. I've seen this movie before, and what happens is you go out in the bush all excited with your new knife, go through some heavy bush, hike for a mile or so through tough terrain, and then you go to sit down for a break, and reach for your knife, and it aint there no more. It's too expensive of a knife for that kind of thing. Again, I love the concept and the design of this knife. This would make an outstanding self-defense knife if SOG had executed it properly - they were on to something here, but SOG just did a sloppy job of executing this one.

Small, but good…not good enough for price…
I like SOG stuff. Have ton of it. This one is tuff for me. Was super close to returning it ‘cause it’s too small. Everything Else: Good. Materials, fit, finish, sheath, handiness, sharp, light, all is good. Value and size becomes the ONLY draw back. I can easily justify a SMALL dagger type knife, especially a well executed one…but at this price point, again it’s a tuff one.Good piece. I’m keeping it for now. Possibly good candidate for pack strap knife or inverted plate carrier back up knife.
