Sakkas Ameelynn Short Embroidered Batik Festival Sleeveless Spaghetti Strap Dress

I love this. I wore it today and immediately ordered another in a different color. I wore it by itself around the farm; it was definitely short but not so short I ran inside when the UPS guy came. Late I threw on some jeans to go out and it was adorable as a long tunic top. The fabric and quality are substantial. The cut is nice. I'm a 40DD and it is maybe slightly tight across the top of my boobs, but it looks fine and is perfectly comfortable, and I'm on a diet anyway.Update: Ove been wearing this almost non stop since I got it. I like it even better. The style is so pretty that I look done, for the same effort as if I had thrown on a grungy t shirt. I wear it doing light farm chores as well as lounging around. After many days of wear there is very slight pilling around my boobs, but not very noticeable. No snags or tears. The fabric and construction are holding up. I'm hand washing, and only when it needs it, because I want it to last. A already ordered one in green and thinking of getting the purple, maybe even another in blue for when this one wears out. When the weather cools I'll pair it with a cool jacket or scarf. I love it that much.

This is my 2nd sakkas dress. I love it! It's shorter than what I normally wear but not so short as to be embarrassing, had to be careful to stoop not bend over when playing with my baby cousins. I wear a size 16 in most dresses and got the 1x/2x, it fits well over my belly, hips, and thighs, where I carry my weight; I wear an impossible to find bra size 40b and it's a bit loose in the top, I chose poorly and wore a bandeau bra and it would show every now and then on the sides. I am too lazy to hand wash so I put it in the washer in a gentle cycle by itself, it survived. I wore it to a crowded family party where there were so many people there was no way to keep a house cool enough on a 90+ degree day, but it was nice and cool.

I bought this dress for an outdoor concert in New Orleans next month. I just got the dress yesterday and I fell in love with it as soon as I put it on. Like other reviewers have said, it's not for someone who has a bigger bust since it is a little snug in the bust area, I'm a 34C, 5'8", and 136 lbs, and the small fits me perfectly. The elastic smocking at the back makes the bust area give a bit more room but not much. The color, I got the navy, is really pretty and the embroidery details dress up this sweet sundress. The dress comes to just above the knee, but there is several inches at the hemline that is semi-sheer, so you see more leg. I'm 56 and I don't find that to be a problem or inappropriate. I will probably buy another dress in one of the other colors soon.

love the look of the dress but it's a little tighter than i thought it would be in the chest, it doesn't smash me or anything just not at all roomy. i wear a 36 dd to 38 d depending on the maker/brand of bra. length is good, i'm 5'2, hits the top of my knee. fit is good everywhere else, i weigh between 150-155, my weight fluctuates. the straps are not easy to adjust. there is a bit of a gap, doesn't lay flat to my body, on one side, probably because i am not perfectly symmetrical, if you know what i mean.

I'm 5'5" and weigh 135 lbs with all my weight in my hips and thighs. I wear a 34DD bra. I am also 66 years old. I wear the dress with a tight cami (I hate bras) and cropped leggings and have received a lot of compliments. I bought a m/l and it is a perfect fit.

This is a really pretty dress/tunic in many ways -- flowy (but not too much --the tie on the back brings it in a little if you desire, to flatter your waist) feminine, beautiful color, nice embroidery, flattering (especially nice feature since I'm trying to lose some weight). Wear as a dress or with cropped or capri leggings underneath. It's something you will get compliments on. The only drawback I have experienced is some unraveling of the embroidery and today one of the small plastic strap adjusters broke, and with only very gentle use and not having had it for very long. So,while the garment is very pretty, it's a bit fragile. I am happy with this brand overall, however -- pretty, unique dresses to wear in the summer, especially if you're not a shorts and tank top person or if you just want a pretty alternative to regular summer clothes.

I first tried one of Sakkas' long dresses and loved it so much I decided to try a short one. This is a gorgeously colored dress. The fabric and drape are fluid and fun and sexy. I don't have much shape but this dress gave me some without being clingy or droopy. I really love everything I've purchased from Sakkas. It looks unique and flatters most any body type. I have not needed to wash this dress yet but plan to go with a cold hand wash and hang dry and see if the stitching and embroidery/crochet come out ok. I live this brand..But was disappointed with this particular style ..It ran smaller than the other 3 similar style's I have purchased..Great material..But make sure on your first couple of washes to wash this separate from anything else because it does loose the dye..A friend suggested that I put it in some vinegar water next time to stop it from doing this..I gave this one to a friend and am ordering a larger size..

So impressed with Sakkas dresses!! Really nice fabric and design. Definitely fits small. I'm normally a Large in most tops, and I ordered the 1X/2X after reading the reviews, and glad I did. I'm 38D and it fits "the girls" just fine.Only minor complaint I'd have is the strap adjusters are a bit cheap looking... clear plastic rings and sliders. Overall I still give this dress a 5 star rating because the quality for the $$ paid is really outstanding.

The dress looks great! I didn't order a size bigger and it fits perfect. The material wrinkles easily and I'm not sure how it will turn out after washing it. I suspect it will need to be hand washed because of the embroidered front. It looks like it is made well. I just received it yesterday and it looks very pretty and very flattering on my not so slim figure lol

Very pretty dress! I wear a UK 14 and the L/XL is a good fit. Only complaint is that the waist ties are very short (like other Sakkas dresses) and the lace trim is at the front only.

This is a very nice dress. I just wish the lace went all the way around. This made the back very short without that extra lace length.

Really very pleased with this dress. The fit is just right I ordered 2X and it’s spot on. Very pretty and lovely colour. The straps at the back tie quite easily for me. I’m ordering more colours!It can be worn just as a dress but in this cold I wear it with leggings.
