Great knife at a great price!
The knife is amazing. The only thing that I could recommend is a slightly rougher texture micarta handle. The handle is good but a little slick when wet. Overall the knife is great. Razor sharp, and solid! Great buy for the price!!!!

Budget beefcake
For the money, this is a fairly good knife. The first thing you need to know is that when it is shipped, it’s inside the box, wrapped in plastic and rubber banded to the sheath. When I opened it I nearly cut myself because I was trying to figure out which side was the ‘live’ side. It had a rubber cap on the tip, and that was really the only protection. It’s heavily oiled to keep it from rusting. You can see in the pictures that the grind isn’t the prettiest. Someone sharpened it on a belt sander and it actually has two separate bevels on the edges. It was hair-poppingly sharp at about 35° out of the box - the primary skinning edge took the hair off my arm pretty well, and the secondary edge was almost as sharp, but instead of being a straight, smooth line, you can see it wavers some and the edges aren’t smoothed out. I took my bench sharpening set to it and smoothed both edges down to about 25° (not because there was anything wrong with it, just because that’s what I do). It polished up very nicely. I’m not a metallurgist so I don’t know if it’s actually Damascus layering or it’s just a finish on the blade, but it certainly feels like a true acid-wash finish on multi-layer steel.Fit and finish is ok. I like the recessed screws as opposed to being flush with the handle but I can see them being a pain to clean if they get caked with dirt/blood/gunk. The micarta is rough and ragged in some places and some of the planes on the finger choils are uncomfortable. The sheath is fairly blah - one of the straps doesn’t hold tight so it shifts up and down in the carry position on your belt. The lanyard was just a piece of elastic cord with a tensioner on it - I replaced it with a piece of 550 cord.Considering what you would pay for a same-sized Tom Brown Jr Tracker, this feels like a good comparison for less than half the price. I’ll take it out and run it through some chopping, peeling and batoning and update this review when I do.

Stay away
First off, the blade grinds were not as pictured, or acceptable. Secondly, the sheath wouldn't snap closed with the knife in it. Shoddy work all around. I wasn't expecting perfection or even grinds, but I was expecting a handle I could grip and a blade that was completed.
