These produce bags are hands down the best bags you can get. There are a lot of produce bags on the market made from different materials and there is a sliding scale of good to bad in terms of these bags.Ive tried a few different ones between mesh and organic cotton. I work in the sustainability field and I feel its my responsibility to tell you why bamboo is a better material than mesh and cotton.first off, plastic mesh is just as bad as the plastic bags at the grocery store. since there are other options - its as bad as greenwashing. Yes you are re-using them, but considering the other options - these aren’t great. If you already bought plastic mesh - use them as much as you can. But if you need to buy more produce bags - buy these.Organic or conventional cotton would be the middle option. Cotton absorbs a lot of bacteria and can break down. So you might find holes in your cotton produce bags before you know it. Also they can mold easily. If you keep your produce in these and don’t move them to your produce drawer - you might have issues. Cotton isn’t that durable for food products.The best option is bamboo viscose. Not only is bamboo an agricultural product that doesn’t require pesticides or fertilizers/naturally fast-growing. it also has some anti-bacterial properties. bamboo is naturally fast-growing and less demanding on soil than cotton. Bamboo viscose is also more durable than cotton.So overall bamboo is grown more ethically and it’s a better material.SO onto these bags. I love the size. I take them to the grocery store - I like the colored tags on the drawstring to show which size is which. They are strong and can hold a lot of veggies and fruit. I also have thrown bread and pastries in there as well.Overall - these are the best produce bags you can buy from a quality sense and also from an ethically grown and produced product.Background - I work in sustainability. I discovered good karma mart and received samples for work. I have bought these on my own and recommend them personally.

keep my produce fresh , the mesh is nice.

I don't take them to the store with me. I just use them at home. Everything comes out of the plastic bags and gets put into these breathable bags. Produce seems to last longer in these bags.

I am really pleased with this product; although I haven’t really tracked the time scientifically, these bags seem to keep vegetables fresh longer. They are light weight, washable and easy to store. Somehow I just feel better having these bags for storage. I would buy more right away but number of bags in the order are enough to meet my needs. Recommend to any looking for a solution to storing veggies.

Bags are nicely made, light weight but can't scan produce thru the mesh.

This is the best reusable bag I’ve ever had. The bamboo bags were so soft when they arrive and have gotten softer with use and washing. Laundered nicely. The bag is well constructed with inside seams reinforced with twill tape. The drawstring closure is secure, the bags are large with a color tag for size and another sewn in tag actually specifies the weight of the bag if you buy food by weight ( although these are very light weight). Perfect for The grocery store or your CSA share at Farmers Market! I actually harvested vegetables from my garden into this bag today...I’m sure others will find many uses for these bags. Loved this set of bags. They are sturdy. The big one is used for holding potatoes. I wish I had purchased earlier. I haven’t washed mine yet so I can’t comment on that

I'm using these mesh bags in my refrigerator to store my fruits and veggies. I've just started using them so I don't know for sure but I think this will keep my food better and my refrigerator cleaner and more organized. Just wash them, rinse, air dry and use again! That's my plan anyhow. Time will tell. So far, I like them!
