Acer Chromebook R 13 ARM Cortex-A72 2.0GHz 4GB LPDDR3 64GB Flash Drive 13.3" FHD MT Chrome OS (NX.GL4AA.002;CB5-312T-K0YQ)

Love this chromebook. Acer made a very solid, well built, aluminum laptop. Keyboard works great, touch pad is real responsive and fast. Battery charges fast and lasts for hours, not sure how long> I started using laptop at 10 am, 100%, 2.5 hour break, now 3:30 pm and the battery is at 54%. HDMI port connected to my 24" monitor makes for a better viewing experience, especially for long usage times. USB-c for charging and data and also another way to connect to a monitor and a standard sized USB port, a micro-sd slot to add more memory/storage. Headphone jack and speakers on the 2 sides and underneath on bottom(2 speakers). Volume can get very loud. This Chromebook is also touch screen and can be used as a tablet, I love the touch screen, you can zoom in and make the screen text and graphics larger, even shows up on the monitor. The screen is HD 1080P.

I went for the more expensive version of the ARM processor. If you use pure for media streaming and need an unbelievable battery life this is the laptop. Drawbacks - HEAVY laptop as of course a lot can be attributed to the battery. I use it while sitting in bed on my stomach. Touchscreen is great very responsive. Has android apps as well. U will not use the touch screen as much as u may think because of the heavy build and awkward size in portrait mode. But I have no problems using it in laptop mode. Key board fell is fantastic. Talking about operating system chrome os is heaps better than windows for just media consumption. One thing I found is you cannot use Skype share screen feature like u would on a windows laptop. So I switched to hangouts on the chrome browser which works like a charm. Netflix app keeps giving issues now and then but that's the same on windows as well. Best use Netflix through chrome browser - never had any issues. Only issue I see sometimes is if there are 2 videos streamed on different tabs and u flick the video will pause briefly but the sound continues. Don't know if that's attributed to the RAM. Also the charging connection can get a bit loose so be careful. Sometime i have to push the connector in hard to let the charging begin. May be acer should work in on that. also the screen swizzle clamps are a bit flimsy. But this Chromebooks aside from few hardware quirks if used careful will work better than other nasty cheap ass Chromebooks that are out there. Buying very expensive Chromebooks also does not make sense so this one fits right in the middle of the market. Also is better than cheap M or Celeron or Atom processor windows laptop. I will choose this any-day over them because I do have them as well. One last keynote is that this is a fan less laptop so it won't get hot while placing it on your tummy or chest lying down in bed watching questionable content LOL!!!

Great product. Love that it has 64gb.Now that the Play Store features apps for Chromebook that extra memory comes in very handy.It is somewhat heavier than I expected with it's large 14 inch glass touch screen, but it is very thin. Screen is bright and sharp.Love it.

This is a very nice looking and performing Chromebook. My wife has confused it several times with her macbook pro. Screen is great and my daughter takes it in her backpack to school to do homework so the durability has been better than expected.

The Acer is awesome. Great clarity easy to use. Only complaint is the CAP Shift must be held down to use with no light or warning that it is on. Other than that small drawback this is a powerful and great chromebook.

A couple of things I really wanted to address were android app store and also a touchpad noise / ratlle that I noticed and saw alot of other people online complaining about.A. If you dont see the android app store (not the regular playstore menu) then you need to force update chrome OS to the newer build which can be done through the top right menu on the browser the 3 dots, -> help -> about chrome os -> update. Boom task 1 done.*WARNING please use common sense and do not do this if you are not a professional or someone who knows what they are doing, I am not responsible if you break. This is merely a walkthrough on what I did myself so use that information how you want to * Ok now that thats done moving on.B. This one was driving me crazy after a while any gentle touching of the touch pad would make an annoying clicking sound so I did opened it up to see what was going on and was initially going to put foam or something to stop the noise since it seemed like something was touching. Removal is simple just undo the bottom screws and slide in a mobile device opening tool or a guitar pick and pop the pack panel off. Thankfully nothing is attached to the bottom piece so it can be removed without worrying about needing to disconnect anything. Battery has 2 screws and a plug holding it in so I undid those and pulled off the battery.Now under the battery is a black film piece attempting to cover some hole. It also runs undernwath what I can assume is a motherboard wire (im writing this from memory after I closed everything up). Personally I tried a few different positions with the black film but nothing was working so I took it off entirely and it SEEMS to be fine now. Touchpad is solid and no more noise. The mobo cable, bending and rubbing on the film, also touching the touchpad is what was making the noise in my device and now things are smooth and back to normal.I attached a picture of the film after I removed it so you know what to look for.Hope this helps anyone having similar concerns and issues and again please use good judgement if you are gonna open up your device. This worked for me and it might not for you. You are probably voiding some warranty by touching the insides so please dont do it unless youre absolutely sure.. etc. etc.. other stuff about taking responsibility for your actions. Ciao

Solid Chromebook that is able to run Android Apps (in beta channel). A bit pricey for a Chromebook of its specs is the only reason it isn't 5 stars.

Such a study, beautiful and reliable product thus far. It has an incredibly clear and crisp delay and the interface is very neat. I am happy to say that thus far I've been very satisfied with this product especially after my last laptop from Lenovo. Well done acer. I've become an instant fan.

work as advertise. Do not have any problem with it after several travels. Wanted a mid-size chrome book with standard usb and 64GB SSD. Happy with my purchase.

Heureusement que j'ai de bons voisins car la livraison s'est faite à 2 coins de rues de chez moi. J'habite au 6725 et la livraison a eu lieu au 6125 ! Hormis ce détail, j'ai bien récupérer mon ordinateur et il remplit pleinement mes attentes. Une très bonne petite machine !!!
