Would Make a Great Gift for Man City Fans or Game Night at the Local Pub
Love these professional soccer trivia tidbits about Manchester City FC!* The Manchester City soccer club was originally formed just over 140 years ago as St. Mark’s, and then evolved into Ardwick AFC, before finally settling on Manchester City FC. The side has survived two World Wars and several lean years and relegations to become one of the strongest and richest clubs in the world.* The roots of Manchester City can be traced back to 1880 when the club began as a church team known as St. Mark's (West Gorton), and then became the Ardwick Association Football Club in 1887, playing its home games at Hyde Road.* The first known team shirt in 1884 was black and featured a white Maltese-style cross. It's believed this may have been because of the club’s strong links to Freemasonry at the time. However, others feel the cross was because of the strong links with St Mark’s. The club then chose sky blue home shirts in 1894; the colors are still in use in 2021.* Following defeat in the 1981 FA Cup final, Man City struggled for several years and was relegated to the third tier of English football in 1997-1998 for the first and only time so far. The side earned promotion back to the top flight in 2001-02 and has played in the Premier League continuously since 2002– 03.* The team played its home matches at Maine Road stadium from 1923 to 2003 when it moved to the City of Manchester Stadium in east Manchester. However, due to naming rights, the venue is currently known as the Etihad Stadium.* Manchester City was founded when two church wardens attempted to derail alcoholism and local gang violence in the Gorton area of Manchester. They instituted new activities for local men who were typically unemployed at the time. All men were welcomed to join the club regardless of religion.* The record attendance for a Man City game at the Etihad Stadium game is 54,693 against Leicester City on Feb. 6, 2016. The record for a Man City contest at Maine Road match was 84,569 against Stoke City in the sixth round of the FA Cup on March 3, 1934.Filled with interesting trivia and quizzes. Would make a great gift for that sports person in the family or game night at the local pub. You'll find these and many other fun trivia facts about Manchester City FC in this book. A great gift for Man City fans, or really anyone who enjoys professional soccer.

A cool read
This is a good piece of history. I didn’t know anything about Manchester soccer/football(im a basketball, American football kinda guy) so i couldn’t get into the QnA like that but the “Did you Know” segments were very knowledgeable. A good read for sports/football fans and trivia time.
