I got the 9ft 2in 3/4wt rod. It has an extra rod section so you can make it a 10ft 6in rod as well. The reel seat is very nice looking and secure. The grip feels nice as well. Not to big or small and feels nice in hand. The rod is finished quite nicely. Very nice color and wraps/epoxy. It has alignment dots and single foot guides.It feels nice in hand and is very light. At 9ft 2in it feels balanced and smooth. With the extra section in place it is a tad heavier and a little more tip heavy which is to be expected. The action is nice. The tip is flexible and there feels like alot of power in the butt section of the rod. It is a great rod and will help me catch many fish in the future

I received this rod about one hour ago. I have made up from blanks and rod pieces about 120+ rods over many years. I give away some rods to our Boy Scouts and to other kids that are learning the art and craft. Several items to look for: overall finishing, alignment of guides, size of guides for direct, accurate casting, a proper 'kick over point' at which the assembled rod naturally falls because of spine location in making the blank--the finished rod will have a tendency to 'flop over' to that balance point...and this specific rod and guides aligned fine at that test. I have another Aventix rod, smaller for smaller water and smaller trout, and I find the quality outstanding. As soon as the Northwest weather accommodates and daylight returns to the North, I can evaluate more specifically. Our trout tend to hug the bottom of lakes and rivers during winter.

I have been fly fishing for over 30 years. This rod is as good as any of the Sage rods that I own.....this is now my go to rod.

The is is a surprising fast nimble rod perfect for nymphing and long roll casts. I fish 150 plus days per year. I’ve got every brand rod known and aside from being made in China, this is a well constructed rod. To be clear, most of these Chinese rods on Amazon are made at the same factory and some third party seller rebrands them. (Import records are a wealth of info). So yes, you can spend $$$ on some cleverly southern libation named rod that is also made in China or you can get a deal with a less attractively named rod from the same factory.I docked it one star because a rod this length should have a fighting butt. Or at least a have an extension for long two handed casts.

Love the action on the rod. Sensitivity in the tip for European nymphing, and guts to handle nice fish. I was able to turn a nice 18" brown easily from running into some roots. I've fly fished for 30+ years and chose this rod because of the value and reviews. Glad I took the chance. Great rod! Unfortunately, on my first trip I crushed the top two sections as I toppled my kayak in a swift current. That brings me to my next point... Aventik was good on their 25 year warranty and replaced the rod with no questions. Excellent Customer service!

I bought this rod to replace my other Nymphing rod that broke three days before a fishing trip. Unfortunately, the rod didn't come on the day it was scheduled. Nonetheless, when I got back from my trip it was waiting for me. Quality is excellent and machined details on the mount are super nice. It has an extra locking ring which is really nice.It fishes well and I have zero complaints. I use the long section to make it a 10' 4"I'd recommend this rod for inexpensive Euro Nymph set up.

The rod is as described. It is of sturdy construction and comes with a hard case. The only negative is that when putting the pieces together, you may not push as hard as needed. They are friction locking, but they really are a tight fit. The case is surprisingly small and portable; it also comes with a strap. The best thing about the pole is the company's amazing customer support. I asked technical questions on the company Facebook page and was not disappointed. I highly recommend this budget rod for intermediate and beginner level anglers.
