Unless you have a 5xxx series cpu don't buy an x570s
This board and my previous MSI Tomahawk suffered from severe instability caused by the Agesa update released by AMD whenever using an XMP profile. As soon as I swapped my 3900x with a 5900x all stability issues were gone, with the exception on one issue, which was because I had a mechanical drive, removed that and all was well, despite the hardware I had removed being in excellent working condition. The board itself is nice, with a good feature set. The bios is easy to navigate and I haven't had any issues beyond the dishonest tactics employed by AMD to force us all to upgrade. I should point out that I thoroughly tested my hardware in various configurations and also in an old x570 board I had, and I also spent quite a few hours online reading that people had also had the same issues and come to the same conclusion before I came to my final conclusion about AMD.

Great creator motherboard
Really good jack of all trades board here. It’s not a super extreme overclocking board but if you wanna dabble in boosting, im sure it’ll be fine. LOTS of m.2 (4 of them) bays for super speedy memory. Great for read/writing large video files OR loading big slow games. Just be careful because using all the m.2a deactivates two of your 6 sata ports. CPU power is finicky. Theres a sort of cover thing over the ports which if you can get off, great! You’re doing better than me! Definitely recommend plugging the CPU power in before installing the board for this reason though. Very pretty board though; you’ll be hard pressed to find a decent looking white mobo, and this is one. Its not in your face gamer-y so gives your pc a pretty sleek and understated look. Really happy with it, even has a TPM 2.0 slot too for if i decide windows 11 is worth it!

Hard pass if using Corsair/ICUE
Bought this motherboard to pair with the AMD 5800X.After setting up the computer, installing drivers and updating the BIOS, I installed the Corsair ICUE software as I have a Corsair case (With USB controlled RGB), Corsair AIO and Corsair memory.Upon installing the software, everything could be controlled apart from ONE of the Corsair memory modules. After looking online, this looks like a wide spread issue with this motherboard and Corsair memory. It's currently waiting on Gigabyte to release a BIOS update to resolve the issue, but until then, the Corsair memory modules cannot be completely controlled, one stick will always have a life of its own and not be recognised within ICUE.

Pretty good board
Really good board but i wish gigabyte's Fan software wasn't separate to it's monitoring software. It's like installing more bloat but otherwise it is a really good board and a really with the m.2 support all the lanes were working in x4 form instead of bifurcating down to x1 or x2 per nvme drive.

USB does not work properly do not buy
usb doesn't work properly and machine won't resume fully from standby. spent a month working with Gigabyte support to get a solution and now despite gigabyte having a 1 year return to vendor warranty, it is not possible to return it via Amazon within this period so £300 down on a defective board. Thanks Gigabyte, Thanks Amazon
