Because of the weird part they use for the bottom/male part of the snap you have to really hit it hard to get it to set and the bad/wrong part deforms even when used in the correct set tool. It''s the wrong shape. IT IS NOT WHAT IS PICTURED IN THEIR PICTURE. SEE MY PICTURES. Will not be buying these again. If I had not needed to get this one project done I'd have returned them. The first pic shows what the bottom piece should look like. The next shows what came in this it does not match their picture. But it works it's just that it doesn't match the picture.Update had to buy a better set tool and I put a drop of Gorilla glue in the male piece it expands and insures a good set just for insurance.

These snaps are very poor quality and will not install properly. Every time I tied to install the bottom portion of the snap the metal collapsed in on itself. Total waste of time and money. I highly recommend you keep searching and do not purchase these snaps.

The snaps do not snap once put together.Seems like the distance between the female buckle and cap is not enough to connect with male buckle since they will snap when the cap is not used. Returning. Do not buy.
