What a perfect product!
As a natural night owl, my body clock has made early morning rising a life-long problem. Based on the many success stories of others I was hopeful the was finally a remedy. The instructions were easy to implement. I set one wake-up time for the weekend and one for the weekday. On the weekends, I usually can sleep to 9 or 10 AM, if my husband let me sleep in. If I'm up with my child, I'm generally barely awake, mostly likely laying on the couch. Not the best parenting, I must admit. I take medications before I go to bed that tend to make me sleepier in the morning. So I thought if this Wake-up light is going to work, I should test it on a Saturday first. Sure enough, I set the timer for 7:20 AM, and I was awake before the wake-up sounds could even start. The light woke me up. It was amazing — I was wide awake! At 7:20 AM, it was still relatively dark outside and in our room. I usually sleep on my back, so the Wake-up light was on my face, and it woke me up. I got up and went downstairs before my son woke up and had time to read the paper while my family slept. Tomorrow, I'm going to get up and exercise!I used the 20-minute light transition time. This time setting seemed to work just fine — so I'm glad I bought this model that allows the flexibility to change the light transition time between 10 and 60 minutes. My husband put an eye mask on in preparation, so he could sleep in. The light did not bother him, but the seagull calls were slightly annoying. There is also a backup battery for the light/clock, but if it is unplugged for a short time the time will reset back to where it should be. There are 20 adjustable light settings — even with the LED the light is a warm glow, not cold at all. The design is aesthetically pleasing, and the radio works well, although I'll doubt I'll use it much, because I barely needed sound to wake up.Even the summer morning sun coming through the blinds does not seem to wake me up like this light. I've read that the blue wavelength light is the difference. Placing this Wake up light approximately 18" away from my eyelids woke me up feeling refreshed — a completely different experience. Wow!I can't wait to accomplish a lot more in my life. My son, who is 5 and who also has a hard time getting up on school days, asked for one. His mommy was awake and playing with him all morning — he noticed a difference! I might just get him a Wake-up light if it benefitted me so much in one day.

Durable and Pretty
The durability on this clock has surprised me. I’ve knocked it off a 4 ft shelf multiple times and it still works great. I use the charging port on the back for my phone, so yanking the phone around has sometimes made it slide and fall over. This is my fault, but it has survived and glows to this day. Other people have given compliments to me on the clock. It’s a great price and I like how there is no app to program it; all the buttons are shown in the paper guide. No phone needed to get this thing to work. This clock will move with me for a while.

The light helps me wake up
I love the gradual sunrise effect, it helps me wake up and I love using the colorful light settings at night before I go to sleep. I had to try out different locations around my bed, and found it works best for me when I keep it right by my head. The light is bright, but it doesn't really help me waking up if it's more than a few feet from my face. I have always had a hard time waking up in the mornings and this has been a game changer! The sound quality is really poor, so I don't use any of the alarm or sleep sounds. I use my phone as my alarm clock.

Solid model
I basically bought this to fix my sleep schedule. I sleep in a pitch black room – which makes it hard to get up in the morning. I was progressively sleeping in later and later to the point where I would literally wake up at 5pm and go to sleep at 5am... so I needed some kind of light source to wake me up; enter this alarm clock. The first night I tested it, I went to bed at around ~4-5am and set this alarm for 7:30am. Somehow I miraculously managed to wake up on a few hours of sleep thanks to this. I wouldn't have been able to do that with a normal alarm, I would have just gone back to sleep. But somehow the light makes you much more inclined to get up and stay up.Also, I find it's a much more relaxing way to get up than a traditional blaring alarm. The light wakes you up gradually instead of suddenly, so there's less of a shock to the system.-More relaxing and less stressful compared to a normal alarm clock (the jarring sound of a traditional alarm would always stress me out in the morning personally, but with this you wake up gently)-Wake up more energized and with a feeling of not being able to go back to sleep (in a good way)-Display turns off completely if you want (this means you can sleep in a 100% dark room, with no light coming from this alarm clock )-It actually is a pretty attractive looking alarm clock, to me it looks much nicer than the cheaper models (personally I think this matters if you're going to be having it on your nightstand every day for the next few years at least)

Placement is important!
At first, I didn’t think this clock was going to work for me, then I realized I had it in the wrong place. It was next to me on the dresser, so just slightly above my head. And I was actually behind the light. In order to mimic the sun, I needed it to be behind me and slightly above me, so I put it on a shelf I got just for this purpose. The light comes on gradually, and I have it set to start lighting up about 20 minutes before I want to get up. This is what works for me, your mileage may vary.Setting the clock has a little bit of a learning curve, but once you have it set, it can be having the sun shine on weekdays, but automatically not shine on weekends. This is a really great feature as you only have to set the clock once and not keep resetting it between weekdays and weekends , or you can set it to have sun on both weekdays and weekends if that’s what floats your boat .
