Looks to be solid climbing rope - wrong color sent
Ordered Blue Got Black but the color will not matter when you are dangling over a cave entrance unless you were counting on the color to make sure you used the right line. Other than that, this looks to be a solid rope.

Tree stand
Using this for main tree stand safty lines with a 8mm pursik knott attached. Seems plenty strong and will work good. I hope I never get to truly test it.

Don't be an Idiot ... like me
Take note, this is a climbing rope. It has a 660 pound limit and comes with two carabineers and a nice little red bag to pack it in. It will NOT handle a 3rd gear, increased throttle, rolling-start attempt from a sub-compact, 4WD tractor to dislodge a half-broken, 10 inch diameter tree limb thats 25 feet off the ground. However, it is a bit stretchy under these conditions ... to a point. And then it has the ability to put a nice welt across the back and head of said tractor's driver. To its credit, this CLIMBING ROPE will handle a 1st gear tug and spin-out with said tractor and immovable limb. Keep in mind though, that this seems to be fairly close to the rope's working limit. It is strongly suggested that any would-be tractor driver suppress all idiot-like thoughts of even pursuing a 2nd gear rolling start attempt with this climbing rope. You're welcome.

Technically, not a climbing rope or carabiners
Summary: Calling this a climbing rope is misleading; could you climb with it, sure, but really depends on your definition. You would easily pay 3-7 times the cost for certified/rated climbing rope. I'm going to be using this for NON-life critical applications.Observations: This is much better rope than the poly-stuff at the big box stores.Recommendations: 1) Being a stiff rope, you'll want to stretch it out, and take out the kinks, then wind it up nicely, 2) Store it in a larger duffle type bag, not the included sack, 3) learn how to properly care for rope, be it handling or storage.Pros: Decent fit & finish; the sewn eyes with heat shrink an eyelets were finished nicely.Cons: Lack of certification. Conclusion: At $15 for 32-feet, I'm rating this one 4-star (because of the lack of certification of both the rope and carabiners).
