My son loves playing with the pieces on the top. With very little instruction he is already understanding the pentagon and hexagon shapes because the number of pegs/holes and sides of the shape are the same. This toy is pretty brilliant. One of the few toys we will find him just sitting by himself playing. High quality build, holding up very well. Don't hesitate buying this!

Holds up to my 11 month and 2 year old boys. Pegs come out of the top part (unsure if that's an intended part of the toy), but everything else is as pictured. We bught one for ourselves and gifted one. Would definitely buy again!

This review is for the wooden shape sorter car. While the product title says “Montessori Toys for 18+ Months Old” the product box states “36+ months.” Some of the pieces are too small for a toddler and would be a choking hazard. It seems to be sturdy, well made, and packaged nicely, however. Unfortunately we will be returning it because of the small pieces.

I had wooden toys for my children and grandchildren and the toys are still here! I love them for their durability. This is a BD gift for one of my great grandchildren.

Ideal materials and well made. Teaches shape differences and promotes hand-eye coordination.

The shapes don't go in the sides of the toy - they just drop into the box when you put them in the holes, they don't stick out as shown in the photo, just sort of an odd toy.
