Dock Edge Base Plate, 2.125"Id, 1/8", 7/16" Punch - Galvanized

product is described as 1x1x1inch.please explain this obvious error. The base plate must be at least 6 inches or more ,would you please explain?.

Does the big hole in the middle of the dockedge base plate goes through the plate? will a pipe go through the hole & protrude below the plate?

Can a pole pass through the plate?
